Attention Codwallopers, one of our trialists is apparently Ira Jackson Jr.
Is that likely, and more importantly, is he any good?
You've got a good player if the real Ira turns up.

Southend fans were rumoured to be in talks with Jordan Maguire-Drew, which I fully believe as it came from a respected journalist.

It’s either Phil Brown has had a nightmare and decided to bin him off because he’s now turned up on trial at Woking.

Speaking of Woking, they also have Claudio Ofosu on trial from Hartlepool

He trained with the club for about two weeks then was offered nothing, Phil obviously didn't like what he saw.

He looks like the wrong manager for this league, signing the wrong players. Its a scenario we've seen all too often and it can result in clubs falling right through to the regional leagues (Stockport, York being the classic examples- Orient and Chesterfield just managed to cling on)

Their main issue is their owner though. Nothing will improve until they can get rid of him.
Wish the majority of our own fans would realise this.
No-one as saying that when we won L1 with Ron at the helm.
Massively different times, under an owner who may as well have been a different person. Looking back his first 7 years in charge of the club are like some kind of mirage. Well run, turning a profit, he'd actually installed many systems at the club that made us sustainable.
The pure greed that came into him after a season in the second tier is, for me, what's started our boom and mainly bust times. Out went his sustainable player wages and having hierarchical people around him to take on the football side of things, he became like some roman emperor getting more and more involved with things he clearly knew nothing about.

As for Akinde, seems we need to get some players out before he comes. Apparently he actually wants to join, which in itself is amazing, but we need Akinola and Nathaniel-George out and Phil Brown wants Ricky Holmes and it looks like he won't be here if Akinde is.

We’re linked with Aaron Hayden, a CB from Carlisle.

Carlisle fans reckon it's a done deal. Hadn't heard of him before yesterday but that sounds like a very good signing.

We've given him The Stockport Package apparently, 3 year deal on a big wage.

Seems a promising signing. Hope this one pans out and he doesn't turn up at Stockport.

Don't think he'd get in our team to be honest mate.

Speaking of defenders what's Festus Arthur like? We've just signed him on a year's loan from Hull.
Yeah he came through for us and looked a good prospect. Hull saw his potential but it seemed a too steep for him to go to League One that early in his career so not surprised he didn't hit it off there. But he's still young and developing. It will be interesting to see how he does for you. I've not seen Arthur's development over the last 12 months at Hull but the Arthur we had would probably be our 4th or 5th best central defender as of right now.

With the Hayden signing I now make Wrexham slight favourites above Stockport.

They're massive favourites. Not slight at all. They're paying more to this Andy Hogan from Carlisle than our whole defence put together.

The pressure is on Wrexham. It looks like an easy put for them, all they have to do is tap it in. The rest of us just have to watch and wait.

Rumours of Parkinson practising trophy lifts in the mirror at home while he self-isolates.

Hayden signing can't come soon enough. We have 3 CB. 1 youth lad. Lennon didn't play today due to a sore knee and Brisley went off today with an injury.

Sorry Wrexham fans but it seems the Hayden transfer has fallen through.
Apparently he was driving on his way to sign for you but he then got a phone call from James Rowe and Hayden was last seen pulling into a service station and turning his car around.

Not surprised to see Lennon missing out with injuries already.

Which also means that Notts County will be paying a fee for him from Chesterfield in about 6 months.

To be fair to Lennon hes several weeks behind all the others in fitness so its a reaction to the Tamworth game rather than an injury. Doesn't look like he was training at all before he joined us

Lennon will always be injured, good player when fit which is infrequent,
glad he’s off our payroll
