I know we do the joke about "favourites"

Chesterfield are actually mine as my final table predictions testify. Unreal squad depth. The turnover of their players is insane though. Rowe must have brought in 20 odd players in his 8 or 9 months there?

Tshimanga, Danny Rowe, Asante, Tom Denton, Nathan Tyson and Stefan Payne all on the books at the same time and that's just strikers.

They'll either win it or go bust. I actually mean that. Don't know where their money is coming from. At least with Wrexham you know. Same with us on a lesser scale.

Grimsby fans - what's George Williams like - unconfirmed reports that we've signed him today.
Played for Cooper at FGR so may well be true?
think it’s fair to say that we didn’t see the best of him. Had serious injury at FGR and possibly suffered from a lack of confidence in the tackle because of that and our fans are not really forgiving if they think someone is shirking. Didn’t play on a regular basis and probably not a hurst type. If you can get him back to FGR days then I think you will have a decent player.

Im suprised we’ve thrown caution to the wind in an already competitive league.
Rowe is super ambitious and the board must have ridiculous faith in him to back him as we have!
We won’t go bust because there is clearly some money somewhere - albeit a mystery to most as to me the Trust are potentially a bit of a front for a money man in the background

If Alan Connell is your idea of a decent non-league striker then I guess the standard must have been really shite back then. Never seen a player be offside (or just randomly fall over) more then Connell. Except Elliot Benyon obviously.
Connell was brilliant for us down here, without him that first season we’d have been in a relegation battle we were that shite but he won us games on his own.

He was sat amongst our subs in the stand last night, so unless he just fancied taking in a Tuesday night match in Hartlepool it looks like it? :ohn:

And there were some who believed we bid 100k for Tshimanga, now we're signing Yussuf. I know which one is more likely to be true.

I think that'll make 19 clubs in the last 10 years for the guy? There's not much to say, his worst attribute is his laziness, he just doesn't seem to want to have to run. Good side, I guess he'll finish a few chances if you keep feeding him? Your manager must have a plan though you'd thought and he's a good en

Obviously got some brilliant technical ability as he was part of the Wales 2016 squad.
Heart of a pea and not really in for a fight if a game is that way, without being disrespectful I don't think Barrow will be going to attack that many teams and dominate in L2 so I'd stay well clear.

Sounds like Dallas to Solihull is nearly there, offer accepted according to Bonner.

EDIT I should add Bonner didn’t say the club, but the rumours are $olihull, not a bad front line there if it’s Dallas, Hudlin and Newton.

He got absolutely clobbered by Fellaini and has never been the same since.

Be surprised if Hudlin was still there come the end of the window to be honest, particularly if they’re shelling out a decent fee on Dallas.

Honestly I'd take a lazy twat that just sits in the box and just pokes in crosses from the 6 yard box, we create chances galore but just don't have anyone that can put them away.

He might work out then, he's not gonna be climbing to fight for crosses, but he's the type to clean up greasy goals from the 2nd, 3rd balls falling around the box from them. Fingers crossed!

I'd advise you watch this:

Perhaps it was a one off, but he was majestic that season for us. The only player as clever as him I've seen at this level was when Wrexham had Glenn Little, thank god he was about 47 years old and reduced to cameo appearances as he would have torn this division to shreds. Connell was just on another level for us in 10/11 though.

Yussuf is a decent finisher. Last season he had a really good goals to minutes ratio for us.
