Dunno why people are thinking James Jones is small, he's 6'2" and a decent build. He actually looks like a footballer.
Because the first time anyone had ever heard of him was about 2 days ago and we all hot-footed it straight over to Wikipedia to find the TRUTH about his height.

The only thing we know for certain is that he’ll be on 9k a week, everything else is unclear at the moment.

Cheltenham forcing Tozer to play this evening I’m hearing. Disgusting.

It's almost like he has a contract.

Anyway, our chairman was interviewed this evening - two offers have been made. The first was a joke, second was considered derisory, nothing's been heard since.

Cheltenham clearly value him higher than we do (although not enough to give him a contract extention, clearly)

I hope we move on now, I dont think we should be held to ransom by Cheltenham of all people.

Tozer’s the one I really could do without Wrexham signing, even more so than Mullin. They’ve signed better players, but I reckon that long throw has to be worth 50 goals a season in this league. We’d concede about 10 to it on our own.

It still makes me laugh that teams struggle to defend it.

Barrow worked it out quite early and they did the double over us last season. It's simple - ensure you have a defender attack it like they would an attacking corner, rather than jumping from a flat position. Get in Will Boyle's face and it should be cleared quite easy.

We can’t defend corners either, to be fair.

I suppose the question is how much money Cheltenham want and will we pay it? The people from our side are pretty experienced and will make a judgement on the value of a 31 year old. If we want him that much they will raise the offer if we dont they will move on to another target
And of course the player will lose out on his last chance at a big day

If they feel they'd struggle to replace him, and without him they are less likely to stay up then I guess he's worth a lot more money- whatever the difference in revenue is between L2 and L1.

Why don’t they just offer him a new deal?

We have been known to do that in the past although that’s because our starting offer is usually somewhere around £100.

It's amazing who comes forward to pay for sponsorship rights.

As for offering a new contract, how do you know one hasn't been offered?

A lot money that for a 31 year old. But it's Wrexham's money I suppose.

The pressure's mounting on Parkinson after the late collapse at Solihull. You can why these signings are now viewed as a matter of urgency.

Panic has set in. Bet we cave in and pay Cheltenham’s ridiculous demands as well.

Big week for Parkinson, he needs a result Saturday big time.
