We know you're loaded. How you manage to get your name out of the big spending teams lists time and time again is voodoo stuff in my opinion. I can only think it's because you haven't done one big eye catching deal like a Mullin, Tshimanga or a Madden.

I was told we had the 4th biggest budget in this league. Obviously Wrexham and Chesterfield are two. I'm fairly certain Notts will be the third.

I’d have agreed last season when we were still carrying league contracts, but doubt it this year. Pretty much all of our best players were signed as relative unknowns. Palmer and Cameron possible exceptions to that.

Are we all forgetting Callum "Cal" Roberts plays about 13 minutes a season on average?

Aye if I was Notts I’d cash in if it’s a good price.

Injury prone and unlikely to shine in Chesterfield’s wingerless formation.

It might be one of the relegated teams with the parachute payments.
We seem to work within strict parameters, Chesterfield did offer more wages than us for Lee Miller and we didn't even try to match them apparantly, we just shrugged it off. Same with Ben Whitfield who we wanted.

I’ve no doubt Roberts would fit in here. Our two attacking midfielders find themselves in wide positions quite often when we’ve got the ball, they’re pretty fluid positions in our system. It’s only when we haven’t got possession that Rowe asks them to narrow off

Yeah let's face it every season one of the relegated teams comes down with a massive wage budget on a squad of 40 useless players.

Definitely Southend.

Football fan rule #78: always downplay your team’s suspected wage budget and exaggerate everyone else’s

I don't know what the hell Notts are doing in the same league as all us idiots. All these world class players who'd light up the Bernebeu, but pay none of them fuck all, operate on a shoe string but record 20m losses that don't matter. We're all doing something badly wrong lads!

Based on his on the field persona, Cal hasn’t looked particularly happy all season, he kept getting booked earlier on, but he has calmed that down. Not really got into his stride at all though.

I could certainly see us being more open to bids from league clubs for him than other players, but as the other Notts lads have said, flogging him to Chesterfield must be a step too far.

The tinpotters refer to us as the ‘righteous brother’, which is fine by me.

I don't begrudge clubs like Wrexham, Notts, Chesterfield big budgets, if they're slightly more or less than us it feels a natural order and the league is competitive with proper teams.

I don't think Notts will sell to Chesterfield fwiw.

Just be grateful it's not Solihull, Bromley etc at the top of the list at the moment as they and similar sized clubs have been before at this level. They have very competitive budgets and much bigger than their size of clubs but not many excuses for a lot of the big teams not to finish above them.

Mad how one dodgy shithouse bid that has no chance of being accepted can send an entire board into a tailspin :bl:

This is truly a NL season like no other

Loads of these mad rumours have ended up true.

Everyone said Wrexham would never sign Mullin etc.

This is the Vanarama. Who knows what is scripted yet.

Notts getting pushed about by Jamie Rowe's Chesterfield.

I'd check the money clears before allowing him to leave, god knows where it's coming from.

The bloody Vanarama.. getting their money’s worth for their tinpot sponsorship deal this season, aren’t they? It’s no wonder Poolies can’t leave this board alone. League T-Who? Not a patch on the goings on in Tier 5 this season. I’m guessing it’s never been quite like this before? Didn’t Luton once buy someone in January from a promotion rival, or something, and that’s as spicy as it’s ever got previously?

There's a few clubs who are going all in I think, I have done since pre season so a few more mad signings or out of the blue managerial sackings wouldn't surprise me.

Hahaha as with any good big transfer rumour, we’ve got a Facebook mum involved. ‘Callum has never asked to leave the club, and if it does happen it’s out of his hands’. Weird seeing him called Callum, like he’s in trouble.

So maybe we are trying to flog him. Just presumably not to Chesterfield.

97% is that annoying lad who actually supports Arsenal. You can’t actually search for us on Twitter cos it’s just him not shutting up.

What do you realistically reckon it would take? I reckon any more than 200k absolute maximum would be absolutely crazy money at this level for a guy who can't even start regular and has injury issues. Personally I'd be upset if we offered more than 150k. Also I'd be willing to bet this 'leak' is more likely to have come from the County end than ours. I can buy County trying to drive any potential price up more than I can us trying to unsettle a guy into a sideways move, you know.

For a team £21m in debt then probably offer them Jak McCourt or something and it will probably do it

It is very much our version of ‘£21m in debt!!!!’. Clowns everywhere on there.

Edit - Hahaha can we just appreciate the incredible timing of this post and the one above it.
