Rowe has confirmed we’ve had a bid for one of our players, and it’s been rejected….

For Saidou Khan though… and he’s said he doesn’t want to leave either so guess that’ll be the end of that particular interest

Almost certainly from us in a ‘tit for tat’ move after the Roberts bid.

Bit of a random one, but it seems we might be taking a punt on striker Ben House from Eastleigh, who's out of contract in the summer. There were whispers a few days ago that we could make a bit of 'project' signing, not one with a view to this, or necessarily next, season.

Notice he had a loan spell at Dagenham Leewilson?

I see Hibs now have a cool £2.5m burning a hole in their pocket following Martin Boyle’s shock move to the Middle East.

The obvious move for them to try to appease their heartbroken fans over the loss of their talisman is to muscle in on bitter rivals’ Hearts bid for Kabongoals.

Strap yourself in, Spireites!

Yeah Ben House is not a league one player, He started his loan spell for us on fire but he then got injured and then came back and was poor in his second spell. He then signed for Southampton Airport Spitfires the following summer and again started on fire but has barely score in the last two seasons got 6 in his first 7 games and now has 15 in 63 games overall, not a great record at this level for a striker looking to move up.

It's how it always is, SPL clubs can ONLY tempt NL players up to Scotland, specifically strikers, the more bog standard they are the more horny they are for them.

We know you have been watching Notts games, Wootton a far more likely OOC signing for Lincoln surely? And much better than House.

Ta.

We finally have some attacking options for the second half of the season (January business and players returning from injury) so I don't think he'll get much, if any, real game time this season. I don't know anything about him but he looks a target man type given his size? If so, he'll not displace Marquis or Hopper (when he returns from injury in a month or so).

Nah, we'll be looking for a cheaper understudy to Hopper next season I suspect. Wootton will be a bit too rich for us if Pompey etc are interested and he'd want to be starting games in L1.

I know we don't really know who we are looking at, but if we are not in for Wooton it shows a real lack of any kind of forward thinking or planning.

He's 25, scored double figures at over 1 in 2 games including three times against us. He would be a much better prospect then spending almost 200k on someone like Palmer or Oliver, plus it would damage Notts. Have I seen somewhere that he is out of contract in the summer as well?

Maybe we have enquired and County have flat out refused, or the player doesn't fancy us, if so that's fine but I hope that we at least have tried.

You know their manager will make him look like Messi, he’s always signs these types of players and bang off they go.
Still a decent and useful player for the right system, not working out with us now due to the tactic of having pacey attacking wing backs (RHJ, Hosannah, Green) rather than solid if not spectacular defensive full backs. Would be good in a 4-4-2/4-3-3 behind a winger.

What brain? His is like that clacking thing in a spray paint can.
Has been nothing short of brilliant for us in his 2 spells with us. If the option is there to go to Walsall though I'm not sure why he'd come back down here again

:(

In all seriousness, Hibs do have form for this. Didn’t they sign Doidge from Forest Green? And maybe someone from Yeovil?
Yeah they bought Tom James from us. He played 6 times for them in the 2 years he was there.

A few of our fans seem to think we're after central misfielder Ethan Coleman from Kings Lynn - I've not heard anything myself.

Up until he injured his hamstring a month ago he was our best player this season, very good delivery, workrate and defensive awareness. Chipped in with goals as well, hoping we can renew his contract as it was only a one year deal.

Can someone get some Xanax shipped over to Nottingham please, think they're about to start getting a bit twitchy over the next 10 days or so...

...keep these Rodrigues articles coming please. Definitely no other players doing a similar role as well as him at Blundell Park.
