Appears to be talk of Ryan Lowe joining us from Bury. Would be prolific at this level and allow us to rest Mangan without a drop off in quality.

He's only played there once, which was at the weekend against Torquay. I wasn't at the game, but he got rave reviews from nearly everyone. I imagine he'll get the nod in CM until Sparrow is back because it's not caused too much of an issue - moves Beevers to his preferable RB from LB.

I've only seen him play 4 or 5 times at RB, but he strikes me as someone who could step up to the FL. He's quite similar to Tom Miller, who went to Carlisle in the summer. Quite short but good in the air and attacks anything, consistent, solid defensively and can get forward well, too.

Good shout on Stanley, forgot about him. No idea where he lives. Bush is London way, yeah.
His twitter says he lives in Bedworth.

David Stephens to Boreham Wood, apparently. Another unbelievable signing for them, Allinson is surely running out of excuses now. With that squad they should be nowhere near the bottom of the table.

Thought he'd be doing the business at yours in L2?

We'll take Stephens if he's willing to stoop that low. Quality at this level.

Allen is not a fan of his and we were pretty stingy when we offered him a new deal. When we signed Dembele who is better IMO it was the end of the road for him.

Another very very good signing for Wood but it's kind of meaningless until Allinson can work out how to motivate all these big names. Every single one of them flopping badly so far.

Colin Gordon has said he's going up to Fleetwood today to try and sign a Striker on loan from their academy

They tired so badly against us it was untrue, no wonder they're changing their training schedule.
Might explain why they're struggling down the bottom of the table or they're just not trying too hard.
Looked very poor against us.

Got Adam Drury on trial.

Vaguely remember him leaving Bristol Rovers earlier in the season to move back this way on.

Only with us a week, very strange. He's got a promising cv though, came from the man city academy

Ash Hunter is formely of Ilkeston FC and is another of their crop who were impressive in the NPL and received from a host of FL Clubs. Think he would be very capable at this level.

Sounds promising, hopefully Colin Gordon can get it done before Saturday then

From Grimsby so fits the profile of the players the manager wants to recruit.
Played in the friendly we had on Tuesday apparently.
Played 12 games for Burton in 2013/14 and a similar number for St Mirren last season.

We have also been linked with a loan move for him on a short deal to give him some game time.

But with Pressley as a new manager and I have a few mates that support fleetwood and they would be suprised if he will go anywhere after his performance in the jpt and did impress in the league on Saturday.

We've set the ball rolling to keep Hawkridge beyond his initial loan spell.

Done really well for us so far.

Most definitely a "must retain". Very direct, given us something we've missed for a while.

Nat Brown to Halifax apparently.

Please tell me he's not as shit as I think he is?

Well whatever happens he can't be worse than Matty Brown. One of the worst centre halves I've ever had the misfortune to witness.

Well he adds experience, but he's guaranteed to give you at least one heart-stopping moment per match. Which I guess is an improvement, because your current defence gives you ten or more said moments anyway.

I really wish we were playing Halifax sooner then bloody February. More well planned out fixtures from Mr Strudwick.

By that time they'll have sacked Kelly and will probably beat us. Our goal difference could have done with a boost.

He's does the basics ok. He'll head and hoof it all day long (I say hoof, but it's usually a long, diagonal pass gone wrong and he'll then put an apologetic hand up to his team mate) but he's prone to dropping clangers. Having said that, he's the 'edge of your seat' player that we all pay our admission for!

He was pretty sound for us in his first season back but last season he dropped off very noticeably. He never had pace anyway, so he's even slower now but his positional sense hasn't improved with age. He gets dragged all over the place at times.

In fairness to him, his best games for us generally came against the better strikers (Akinde, Parkin etc).

He steadied our defence when he came in on loan 3 seasons ago, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if he did similar there. Bencherif and Brown played together at CB a few times here last season and did ok to be fair.

Only played 2 or 3 times this season for us and hasn't even been in the squad lately (admittedly he missed a couple due to illness).

To be fair despite his hair raising moments you know what your gonna get with Nat. 100% commitment to the cause, wholehearted no nonsense defending, a threat from set pieces, and to paraphrase FGR fans he's a 'Top Lad' (just not in a criminal sort of way).

Will always be held in high esteem at Macc from his Big Keith and Butch connections.

That's a relief - we're desperate for some commitment.

Nat Brown to Halifax apparently.
Bit surprised he's going as we already 5 players either out on loan or injured plus Wood banned for Saturday.
Another Simpson player on his way then.
Did a job for us mostly in the KA in midfield at times.
Bit of a 50p head at times and he can get caught for pace.
Surely we must players coming in?

Have heard Scunny are looking to pay up his contract so he could be here permanently sooner than January.
Been really good for us and fitted in here really well, suits us with quality crossing and delivery from corners.

Rumour round here is that Lee Fowler could be joining on loan. If it happens, I assume it's just to get himself match fit to compete at Wrexham, but I'd be pleased with it. On his day, probably the best midfielder we've had for years. He can't do much worse than Clarke has.
