We've got John Cofie on trial apparently. Hasn't done much since leaving Man Utd a few seasons ago by the looks of his Wikipedia entry.

Hope he has an instant impact if he signs.

One of our youth team players ( who I don't think has played a first team league game), Shilow Tracey, is wanted by Spurs, Stoke, West Ham, Charlton, Ipswich, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday.

Three others from our youth team are also wanted by League Clubs.

Hearing Nuneaton Town have received bid for one of squad today. Was immediately rejected...but shows teams are looking at their success.

Update on the bid. @Official_NTFC rejected offer from what we understand was a top-three team in the league above

So our Crowdfunder has now finished and total raised is £39k. However this has been made up by:
- An initial £15k anonymous donation
- Anonymous donator then promised to match up to another £10k which had to be collected by fans by 11th November
*This was done by 10pm the night before
- Another £3k from anonymous donator as an incentive last Tuesday to get to £10k before midnight of the 10th Nov.

So the fans only actually raised just over £10k, with nearly another £30k coming from a very generous overseas fan.

Very good of him and hopefully will be enough for us to extend some contracts in January for Jalal, Fitzpatrick and Whitehead. And who knows maybe a few quid left over to put a cheeky offer in to County to make Dennis' move permanent.

Edit - I should mention that all of the above was done on the premise that all funds raised would only be made available to John Askey for playing squad investment, not for any other use within the club.

What it does make me think though is if the owner has actually put any more in this year (which he hasnt as far as anyone knows), is he'll just see it as an excuse to put £39k less in as he knows its come from elsewhere.

How are they doing? Not even looked at the North much this season. I want to go back to Stockport (should we go up).

Our Shilow was playing for Ipswich U21s yesterday.

Stockport? Not so great. Only scored 17 goals all season and lie 3 points off the play-offs in 8th.

I am referring to top of the table Nuneaton above though

I know who you was referring to mate. Was just saying I'd like Stockport to go back up.

Would also like a new ground.

And Anonymous Donator 2 will surely want their £3k back as it was only a ploy to turn it into £10k?

No it's all the same guy, I can only presume he has a bit of spare cash about and wanted to just dangle a little more bate for the fans to hit the target by midnight if 10th Nov.

Halifax were extending Brown's loan but the managerial change means that it now isn't.

From our local paper

Harriers are hoping to obtain international clearance for French forward Arthur Gnahoua, who was previously at Macclesfield

A quick search and his goalscoring form doesn't impress me, Macclesfield fans your view on him?

Never played as a striker, always out wide. Small and quick with a good touch and will look to run at players - for about 10 yards and then stop. No end product and to be honest was never good enough for this level. Came to us from Stalybridge where I don't think he exactly set the world alight there either.

Doesn't seem that promising. This rather poor "Show Reel" was put together and it doesn't really show much as well as it being awfully edited

That showreel needs to go in the tinpot thread.

If that's the best they could come up with from his time at Macc, it's laughable. Unless the first three quarters of it was actually against Norwich, in which case sign him up.

Who's making the signings at Kiddy btw, is it Gordon or Hockaday?

Praise the lord!!

I haven't watched a Halifax game this season, but in Brown's case, the match highlights on Shaymen Player are enough to prove that this guy is stealing a wage. And I'm not just referring to the Braintree game, but to 90% of the Shaymen's matches to date.

It's very hard to believe there isn't a better player at The Shay that can play instead of him.

It's hilariously poor really

But on the signings I think with Gordon being chairman he has final say but Hockaday I think is involved in all transfer business

That's a great set of highlights! I think it was Marine in FA Cup for most of them!

I think that says a lot about the current centre halves available at the club. Nat had two half decent games and it fell apart from there.

Matty Brown has been beyond awful aswell. It says everything when Bencheriffe's best game this season was playing as an attacking midfielder in the Fellaini role.

Paper's saying Birmingham City, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Wolves are interested in Dom Vose, would be a big blow for us

^ I see Nolan wants to extend his stay.

To be fair, Brown looked exposed in that Braintree game, which is the last thing you do if you have him in your side.

As for Bencherif, his attacking midfielder role is probably his strongest. That's where he played best for us. Adequate at CB but you'll not see the best of him there IMO.

He does, i'd keep him tbh, starting playing well (as has the whole team) he pulled his hamstring in the last game so we will have to see how he recovers from that I suppose, he has done alright though after a unsure start,

Yeah Kelly didn't help to be fair to him. Playing a 442 diamond that we've never played before so it just left passengers all over the midfield.

Dunno about a sell on but we paid a fee for him at the time. Unfortunately I could see him going in January, he stands out a mile and we know those Championship/L1 level clubs always have their scouts watching this level to snap up the best talent.

For the record I actually think Jon Nolan has done well for us, he won't be a guaranteed starter but I could still see his move being made permanent in January. Just a very neat and tidy player which is what we know Mills gets his rocks off to.

Robbie Willmott was due to join Crawley on loan but Football League rules don't allow it, apparently. Oh well.

There is no sell on fee as it wasn't a direct transfer from Welling it was just compensation due to his age, Dom shouldn't be in this league at all he should be atleast league 1 with his technical ability, Wouldn't shock me if he left in January at all.
Another loss for us in January could well be James Gray, after being done for drink driving (3x over limit) has been banned from driving for 2 years. He has been left in a situation where he either needs to sell his house in Lancashire and move to Wrexham or find a closer club, unfortunately for us I don't think the money we can offer would be good enough for him to relocate here
