Thank you for clearing that up. I've passed on the message and hopefully our fans will stop believing in the word of obscure Twitter football agents with clipart profile pictures.
Yes seen the tweet now. Looks like an account sprouting a load of rubbish anyway

According to the Daily Mail, Danny Whitehead is signing for Wigan to then be loaned back to us for rest of the season. Deal to be completed in next couple of days.

Really? He looked so far off the Football League standard player I was expecting. Is he actually any good, considering he's been through a few teams now?

You think he would have learned his lesson after the West Ham move, bare in mind before he ended up at Macc he struggled to make the Accrington bench let alone the team.

He's been excellent for us this season. Suits a side playing decent football. Finds some great pockets of space and knows how to arrive late in the box and a decent finisher.

I hope this announcement comes quicker than that Hereford one from a couple of years back on TFF. I'm still waiting for that.

HAVE YOU HEARD?!

We are announcing a new striker today, widely thought to be Dan Holman from Woking, anyone got an opinion on him?

He was going to an FL Club? Or at least that's what was doing the rounds on Twitter since Saturday.

This is what Sparrow was on about I suppose.

Good player. We had him briefly last season and decided never to play him.

Yes was going to Wimbledon but we offered better wages according to those seemingly in the know here. Luton were also sniffing around him but he wasn't likely to start there.

Never really impressed me when I've seen him but not heard many other bad reviews, and seems to know where the onion bag is so I guess will be a pretty strong signing to help see Cheltski over the line.

Wrexham are apparently being linked with Richard Brodie, would be amazed if true given his previous with our fans.

He's got previous with ever set of opposing team's fans.

I didn't think Cheltenham had any money?

Bloody bankrolled teams...
Where did you hear that? I'm not sure we are bankrolled to the extent of Eastleigh or Forest Green but we have a decent budget for this league and crowds above budget.

I just assumed based on your crowds amd your modest league history. Like a southern Macclesfield. Also wasn't it reported that you were signing someone (who didn't come in the end) that would take you over your budget?

I suppose you have the parachute payments and probably kept some back for a promotion charge if you were doing well.

Aren't our crowds amongst the very best in this league, seems a bit of an insult to compare us to Macclesfield who have always done very well on much smaller crowds. Not sure what our current average attendance is but it must be close to 3000 and it will only grow now we are top, when we are back in league two crowds will be closer to 3500-4000. Clearly not as big as Wrexham but better than a lot in the league above.

We've always ran a fairly steady financial ship but have people who will donate the odd £50k fee for players and I am guessing it's a similar donation which is covering the Holman fee.

Your average attendance of 2,762 is the 5th best in the league - http://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/national/attendances

Actually your crowds are a bit better than I thought (I had in my head around the 2000 mark) I retract my remarks as in hindsight they sound like a typical bitter ex-league-now-tinpot fan.

Holman would be a good signing, and might be that added push to secure you the title.

Thanks, more signings to come apparently, at least one defender. I think we are going to go all out to sign some proven players this month.

Am sure we will splash some of the alleged 300k during this window. Having released 3 and getting Diagne confirmed at Macc for the remainder of the season will all help spread the money further.

Not so sure.

Diagne went out in the summer and Reid/Blissett were only here for a month anyway.

It's just been confirmed by the club that Blissett has been released. Wonder which Conference team will take a punt on him. A return to Kiddie maybe?
