If he's fat/unfit too that would tick all Brabin's boxes.

Hunt is neither fat or unfit, so he doesn't tick those boxes no.
Dean Saunders once described him as the kind of lad you'd be happy for your daughter to bring home.
Does Brabin have any daughters?

Dean Saunders is an odd man.

Sounds like Connor Jennings is off as well.
I think he's just hinting at a 2 year contract more than anything else. He'd have been the only one I'd have even considered giving a 2 year contract to. The rest that are left though I couldn't care less about Heslop (might be good back-up) and I'm not too fussed about Evans either, although he most likely will sign being a local lad, but we can definitely do better than both of them.

I hope you are right. I'd like Jennings to stay ideally. I agree about the other two. Im happy for them to stay but if they go I'm sure we can replace them.

Blissett, Johnson and Martin Riley. Can't say I'm too impressed with these potential signings.

I think I might go and become a Gateshead fan on a 2 year deal.

How did Riley do at Tranmere? Blissett could be alright as another option if things weren't working and I know nothing about Johnson, so can't judge either way.

Call yourself a true Wrexham fan? You can't go around not having an opinion about a player you know nothing about. It's not how things are done at The Racecourse.

The fanbase seems to be panicking with Fyfield leaving and Jennings hinting he may be off too. None of them are irreplaceable, but they are certainly good enough to be part of a decent team. It's just a question of filling all positions with players of ability, and the more we lose, the bigger the risk that their replacements are more "Adam Smith" than "Simon Heslop". Still, that lot weren't good enough last year, and it's only May.

There is no need to panic yet, that would be ridiculous as players are still on holiday and in some cases still under contract, but one or two signings will certainly make people feel better (providing they are good). I've said before that I liked Adam Smith, he was an excellent winger, streets ahead of York.

I think Jennings is angling for a 2 year deal somewhere - whether that is Gateshead, Barrow (unlikely) or Wrexham i'm not sure.

Is it now a Club policy for Wrexham to only hand one year deals out then, or just Mills' choice?

You know what, on second thoughts, we should absolutely be offering Connor Jennings a two year contract, or whatever it is he wants. The reason you don't is that you don't want work-shy cloggers or injury-prone china dolls stealing a wage from the budget the fans have worked hard to fund. That player is neither. Sure, he's a moaning little bastard and probably not the most talented in the business, but in two seasons, I've rarely seen him give less than 100% to the cause. I think we owe him a bit of a return on that endeavour.

That, and I'd hate to see him playing for Tranmere. It'd be like Jim Steel and Gary Bennett all over again. I'm only just over Jim Steel now, 30 years later.

Mills loves Jennings, he's his favourite player so I don't see why we wouldn't do everything possible to keep him.

I'm hopeful we are going to sign Rhys Taylor up for 2 years as well, I would hate to see him go somewhere else in this league. A top goalie is vital and Taylor is one of the best around, these are the types that are clearly worth that extra year.

Persistent rumours of two new signings on Monday.

Fully agree on Connor Jennings. Moaning little shit but our moaning little shit. Jennings and Taylor are worth conceding a little on.

moaning little shits are a bit like little dirty fouling shits - opposition fans hate them - but every team to some extent needs them...

As long as they are not the loose cannon type, i.e. Jay Harris.

And that's correct it seems according to Rich Williams on Twitter. Busy week ahead. Strong rumours that one is Martin Riley.

I'd love Jennings and Taylor back at the Moss.

He spent the first weeks of the season injured, was paired alongside McNulty when he came, but lacked the pace to compensate for McNulty. As a result, he only featured in about half our games and if Ihiekwe signs a new deal wouldn't have been a regular starter. The times he played, didn't standout in a positive or negative way.

Yeah Riley has never been fast. When he was here, he had Chris Westwood (who wasn't that fast himself) next to him, who was in the form of his life and those two formed a brilliant partnership. Then Westwood was injured for the play off final vs Newport, so we had to play David Artell and they destroyed us in the last 10 mins with their pace. I wouldn't mind Riley back to be honest, I liked him.

Adriano Moke's following the Cowleys on Twitter so that's how transfers work in this day and age? DONE DEAL. Maybe.

He also started following our ex-vice chairman and Kristian Dennis. Dual contract maybe?
