Don’t think his attitude’s the problem, just whether he can stay fit. You’ve had a cracking week, readying the £25 unless we manage to join you...

Not if fleck leaves. I still only think we will get playoffs which means a guaranteed loss.

Graeme Bailey says we’re trying to get Assombalonga here for upwards of £10m, welp...

To be fair, I've always wanted him.. seen somewhere else that it's 15 mil. Surely his wages would be to high?

Yep. That’s what I thought.

We’re not very shrewd when it comes to transfers.
Really? You missed all the successful ones from the last couple of years then? I'd say Webster and maenpaa are proving to be a fantastic bit of business

I think the shite outweighs the successful to be honest.

Webster and Maenpaa have been very good though.

HAHAHA.

What bollocks is this.
This!
Absolutely laughable. We can't afford Asombalonga, not even close. Our owner can but the football club can't.
Has he got a brother called Dave who plays for Barnsley or something? We could probably afford him.
Britt Asombalonga? Don't be silly.

Absolutely no chance City can afford it?
Ashton said the other day after the summer of sales we’re in a better position FFP wise than most of the division.

We could afford it but won’t do it. If we do it’s a panic buy.

Their forum aren’t too impressed, they wouldn’t trust Pulis to replace him.

Our fans and other fans get sucked in by the “we can’t compete” rhetoric that Lansdown puts out frequently, it’s bollocks. He’s backed Johnson with over £40m in 3 or so years, yes we’ve sold a few but that only means we’re well in credit with money received. Clubs like Derby and Wednesday have spent big on players and given out some huge wages, we don’t turnover as much as them two so we couldn’t do it on the same scale but one big transfer like this wouldn’t cripple the club. It’s up to Lansdown and if he wants to say “fuck it” and just have a go. If he does and it doesn’t work out it won’t be the end of the world.

Not a bad player, won't hear too many bad words about him of our lot. Good luck to him, those 2 goals will never be forgotten Leon.

We’re being liked with a 22 year old Spanish CB from Tenerife called Jorge.

Apparently Valencia are also interested (guessing for their reserves?) but we’re the only ones so far to have activated the €3.5m release clause.

Stoke look like they're signing Sam Vokes for £9m. If true we're due £2.4m out of the deal (25% sell on after £350k). We've absolutely rinsed Stoke in January, £12m for Afobe, £3/4 for Danny Batth and now £2.4m for Vokes who we sold nearly a decade ago.

Looked the bollocks at MK Dons whilst he was there for half a season, first 18 months at Wolves as well he carried on as he'd been doing but seems to have hit a brick wall since.

Our local journalist thinks we're standing in the way of Semenyo's deal to United or Chelsea and are planning on keeping him around as that striker we so desperately need... don't see a point to it myself, he's got 18 months left and has made it clear he won't sign on. Doubtful he'll make an impact and we're just losing money on him.

Piece in the Bristol Post this week about how we negotiated the Baker deal with Villa when you were up shit creek in the summer villa loyal. Not sure if you've read it or are interested but basically explains your desperation for cash hence us paying more up front but less over the long run as part of the deal.
