I'm interested to see how Garbutt gets on. Every time I've seen him, I've been massively unimpressed, but it's only been for England u21s and stuff.
Just don't let him anywhere near corners, him and Jamie Ward could do a 'how to' on not to hit set-pieces.

What you don't notice is that Sammon has moved on loan there for the season too

I actually feel sorry for them, Clough goes and they still sign rejects

If Preston sign Greg and the Chesterfield full-back, I really think they'll be finishing in the top 8, possibly the PO's.

As for us, as each day passes I'm getting more and more concerned. As long as Flinty bags his 10 goals and gets me my £500 quid.

Clearly Preston are in a stronger position than us at the moment, but I think all 3 of us promoted sides will struggle

Sad to see him go. Solid player who's just unlucky he has had a superior player in front of him. Seems a top bloke too. Good signing for PNE.

Also to add, the fact that our squad is so thread bare this close to the season is pretty piss poor. A lot of the enthusiasm after promotion has dwindled.

@Bighpne posted a picture of the squad after Karting and Cunningham seems to be at the back :)

Darikwa is gonna end up going to Wigan. We've fucked around too long.

Wow, just wow.

Tendayi Darikwa and Greg Cunningham will suddenly transform Preston from relegation candidates to play off contenders?

Please tell me you were extremely pissed when you posted that?

We are? Where did you see that? Quite pleased if that's the case as we could use some cover at right back for Moses :)

Stop being greedy, we don't even have a right back!

Happy with that if it goes ahead. With Barbet and O'Connell able to fill in at left back if needed, a signing like this would essentially complete our defensive options.

Harlee Dean to ourselves is gaining traction our end with suggestions it could be finalised Tuesday/Wednesday next week. Never seen him but some of our fans seem to be creaming themselves at the possibility? But that is when our current CBs are Collins and McEveley

If Darikwa ends up going to Brentford, that will take the fucking piss. I'll be fumin'

We've no proper RB, yet we've been pissing around for 2 months, haggling over a difference in valuation of 200 fucking grand.

All's well though eh! We've just signed a gypsy 2nd choice LB from Bristol City.

Started as captain in our friendly yesterday, would be surprised if he left, especially to drop down a league.

Has looked as if he's our first choice right-sided centre back in pre-season, ahead of Tarkowski. Also think MD may be considering installing him as captain for the wholse season too - HD has definitely got it in him to step up.

On the other note of any particular transfers, we turned down £2.75m for Tarkowski, so any potential fee from Sheff Utd will have to involve quite a lot of cash by League One standards.

You won't be too surprised to hear that Adkins worked with him at Southampton.

Absolutely no chance, still young and finished last season in fantastic form. Will likely start a lot of our games this coming season. Can't imagine you guys would be able to afford him either.

Considering we still need another striker if Cotterill and Burt got wind of Smith being available I expect they'd be all over it and would expect Smith would be quite happy to come back if he were leaving considering how his loan spell went.

Indeed.
If we had a front 4 of Wilbs, Agard, Smith and Kodija (purely by his reputation and early player comments), we would be looking strong up front.
