Sako ended up going to Crystal Palace after all that. Good luck to him.

Agreed. I read that Wolves furnished him with a fitness programme that he has been sticking to. Good luck to him. Personally, I think he won't succeed in the PL and will be in France or Spain by February.

Apparently the new Sheffield Wednesday owners are nobs and hard to deal with which is holding up the Vermilj deal.

Also we're linked with Ryan Kent from Liverpool. No idea who he is.

Think he's a winger which means we're probably no longer interested in Adam Hammill.

On loan kids from Prem clubs seems the best we can do at the moment.

Modou Sougou joins Wiggins at Wednesday, Senegal international who cost Marseille 4.5m euros not too long back.

He seems to be highly thought of. It's a gamble though he could turn out to be like Pritchard at Brentford or another Monokana :ffs:

I'm wondering if SERNWA will still love ALF now he's signed for the club of Satan?

Much happier with our squad now. Le Fondre is probably as good a 3rd choice striker as anyone has and we desperately needed a new left sided attacker. I never want to see Dave Edwards lining up wide ever again, especially wide left.

It's been rejected already. Apparently Hull's original bid for Odubajo was £3.5 million, triggering his release clause - but after agreeing personal terms and conducting a medical, they decided to try and renegotiate the fee! Sounds like Brentford quite rightly told them where to go.

Even without ALF we looked strong...with a mass of academy players coming through..... I feel this is the strongest we've been in years, including our last season in the PL.

We got this Sheyi Ojo from Liverpool on loan but hoping he isn't Sako's replacement. I think if we get a left winger and a sub goal keeper were good to go. I love our front 3 of Afobe, Le Fondre and Dicko. This Bright Enobakhare kid we've got looks decent too.

Bright Enobakhare in pre season potentially looked our most promising young attacker since Robbie Keane if you listen to some. Granted I can't see him being anywhere near that level but he certainly already showed me more than Liam McAlinden did for us, who I previously rated very highly.

Bet you're happy for them to hold out, you must have a big % sale on clause on Gray.

Bobby's finally back in the stripes.

(Yeah, he'll probably only score 3 goals max and spend most the season crocked, but that's not important right now)

Did I hear correctly when he said he turned down champions league football to sign for you?

Danny Guthrie joined Blackburn on a 2 year deal.Crap attitude (When he was with us anyway.Refused to travel up to Sunderland away) Very inconsistent. Some days very good but more often that not average.

20% on any profit over £600k supposedly, so yeah, it would be fair to say we're keeping a close eye on this one!

Quite incensed, some rumours we're reporting them to the Football League. If they have done that, trying to negotiate something below the release clause, after "bidding" that amount to talk to the player, then I hope we refuse to deal with them on anything.

Don't like dealing with Hull anyway, they already screwed us out of a sell on fee for Turner a few years ago when he went to Sunderland.

Released Reading keeper Jonathan Henly on trial with us. He was on trial at QPR last week apparently.

Meh. Certainly no better than what we've already got. Bart #1 and Gerks #2 for me... it's a position def with room for improvement though, and could cost us a few points this season.

What I don't get is, surely this happened.

Rapids Manager - Hey Kevin, we are thinking of signing Roger Johnstone, apparently he is a big deal in England? their 2nd finest CB behind Bobby Moore?
Kevin Doyle - Bejesus! is that what the gobshite told ye? never in a month of sundays should you bring that eejit anywhere near this club.
