Us and Bristol City made bids for Hamill, neither got accepted. Don't think Bristol City will go back in now they've got Robinson.

Where have you seen that?

Happy with the Robinson signing. Funny how a couple of signings can increase your optimism. It was getting silly.

A journalist on Twitter. He was right about everything that happened with Darikwa but looks like he's being telling porkies about Hamill.

The Mirror are saying we've put in a £5m bid for Antonio. I don't want him as I think we have enough attacking options already, but it'd be pretty funny just to see the meltdown in Nottingham.

I'm noticing a trend in all our summer signings (well, all of 3) that they're all gifted with lightening pace. Robinson is quick from what I seen of him at PNE last season, Fredericks has very sharp pace according to Sours and Boro fans, and the Kodija looks incredibly quick from the snippets I've seen of him.

To add to that, Little and Bryan are lightening quick as well. Freeman is going to have a whale of a time picking out some of these players with balls to run onto.

Korey Smith and Agard could be thrown into the quick category as well.

It seems to be how Cotterill is building this team, and it worked a treat last season.

Cotts specifically mentioned in his interview how he could play wide in a front 3 so it seems he's got in mind the possibility of switching it up if necessary. Good to have that bit of flexibility.

Not sure it's so clear cut Wilbraham will be first choice alongside Kodjia either. He got his goals in France playing up top on his own, looks big and powerful from the Youtube videos; he might not need a big man alongside him. Obviously it will be those two against Sheff Wed because of Agard's injury, but it will be interesting to see long term what becomes the best partnership
Kodjia has also played out wide before, so we could see him as part of an attacking 3, on his own or part of a 2 man front line

Agard played right wing a fair bit as well so plenty of options

We have started with the usual 5-3-2 with wing-backs formation though.

Old news now but Andy Delort looks like he's doing a little better than sitting in Wigan's reserves

Milos Veljkovic on loan apparently. Saw Boro and Charlton had him last year but he didn't play much.

Antonio to Derby.... Fawaz doesn't even give them the ticket money we owe them, never mind our only player

Richard Dunne linked...

I was saying the other day that I wouldn't mind another centre back with a bit of pace...

Have you heard this anywhere other than from that WIGB character?

Hope Akpan is off to Blackburn on loan.

It will be very amusing to see him and Guthrie potentially in midfield for them.

David Nugent going to Boro for £4m.

As much as I love Nuge, i'm not sure if he's the goalscorer they're looking for, class player though.

Some "Haller" bloke from Utrecht being linked with a £4m move to us. Reckon it's only a deal if Andre goes.

No words as of yet on who the right back might be that we are signing. Lots of rumours of Yedlin earlier in the summer, but that has gone reasonably quiet.

Blackburns midfield will be very average with them 2 in it.

Cellino reckons we are still in for players, if the right one comes along

looks like the deal for Veljkovic is off though, we seem to disagree with Tottenham about him being a key starter

i still feel we need a solid CB with Bamba, Bellusci will make more errors and drop points

Definitely, but it's slightly better than bidding 5 million for 32 year old Murphy lol.

Nugent is a much better player as well tbf.

True. I wouldn't say he's much better though, I know Murphy has only had that one very good season but Nugent is only usually good for 15 goals max

Antonio was never going anywhere anyway, but think we'll be looking for a replacement for Hughes now.

No confirmation yet, but sounds like he's going to be out for 10-12 months. Disastrous for our season.

David Edgar has signed on a season long loan for us...Any Huddersfield/Brum fans tell me anything about him? We desperately need a big brute at CB...and another one.

Better was probably the wrong word. Nugent is more of an all round striker who could run from the half way line and score. Murphy seems more like a finisher in and around the box.

Bit of an odd one. Started off well early last season and has inexplicably been out of favour ever since. Solid enough player. GR doesn’t seem to rate him though.

Some noises you are back in for Jota to replace him. Different kind of player so would mean a change to your system I'd imagine
