Fawaz "@fawaz_alhasawi1: I would like to make it clear that we have not accepted any bid for Henri Lansbury. #nffc"

This club has increased in entertainment value exponentially. Makes mid table finishes worth it

We've sacked the kit man. After 40 years service.

SACKED the kit man. As in relieved of his duties.

@FAWAZ_ALHASAWI ‏@fawaz_alhasawi1 5m As is the case with any of our players, the manager must be consulted and a replacement identified before I accept a bid. #nffc

Suggests that bid is there though?

There's some weird shit going on at your club (whats new...). Talk from inside your club was that we'd bid 5m for Antonio, and now Burnley 4m for Lansbury. Regarding Antonio, I read somewhere that Fawaz confirmed there was a bid, whilst both Derby and Freedman said it never existed.

Glad we're not the only club that could happen to. In fact if I didn't know who you supported, I'd have assumed you were talking about us! I wonder if our's will see the year out :bg:

Hamer to Bristol City.

Good luck to him, great pro who only ever gave 100% here. One thing that really sticks in mind is his first interview on the OS. Great bloke, wish him the world. Will get a roar from the Trent End when he returns with them.

Forest are in shit, from what I can see. (Which isn't much).
It certainly seems that way what with the winding up order as well.
I hope they're ok, a great club is Forest with a wonderful history! That said, at some point a big club will be in the mire and forest could be the one.
On that issue, I still don't understand how QPR have got away without paying their fine / an embargo?

What's Ben Hamer like then? I've seen mixed reports. Was a fan as a boy of Bristol City, so it makes sense. Hope he's good enough to take the #1 jersey from 1FF.

Also, Lansbury for £4m, with the way the market has been this summer, that seems a very reasonable deal.

Good sell on for you I suspect?
Decent striker but surely overpriced?
Oh yes! We're looking at potentially up to £1.6m, which is massive for us. Probably pays our players for 8-9 months. Not including the £600,000 we received last summer.
He's young, English and with potential - he's the market value.

He's decent.

Was a good servant for us. Prone to the odd mistake and 'how the hell has he let that in' moments (they're not that frequent to be fair) but that's just part and parcel of being a goalkeeper.

Seemed to be a big character in the dressing room and was popular with both players and fans, which I'm sure will be the same story at yours, especially being a City fan. Comfortably good enough to be no1 in most Championship sides I reckon.

There was a time when I would worry about the club when we received a winding up order.

Now? All in a days work, just another years worth of our reputation as a club shaved off.

Sam Johnstone wants to come back on loan.

“I finished last season on a high playing [for Preston] in the play-off final at Wembley with my hometown club, so I need to kick on from that but hopefully if I am involved a lot I can still learn here. And if I wasn’t getting the game time here then I could go on loan later in the season. That’s another possibility so we will have to see what happens.

“I appreciated that they (Preston) waited until last weekend. They had to bring someone in because they had their first game on Sunday,” he said. “But if I get the chance to go out on loan I would still like to go back.”

Feel sorry for the guy as his career is being messed around a little by the De Gea situation.

Not sure if he will end up back here as we've got Pickford now who didn't put a foot wrong on Saturday, will be a shame to see him playing on loan for another Championship side though. Great prospect who needs to be playing football and not sat on his ass like Declan Rudd was last season at Norwich.

If we go a month without a winding up order I'm disappointed tbh.

Our owner (then major shareholder) engineered a winding up order so the shares in the club dropped and he could but them all on the cheap.

Worked out well in the long run as we're now debt free but we did suffer a relegation and four seasons in League One between all that....

Fuck off, 9m for a player who has 1 year of football league experience is utterly fucking mental, any club paying that wants shutting down and telling to fuck off to Fantasy Island.

I do wish there was a Nottingham Forest channel on Freeview. It's a club seemingly dedicated to providing so much entertainment beyond their own supporters.

He is worth every penny.

The kid is an unbelievable finisher, and has been Palaces top scorer most seasons despite barely playing.

He will rip this league apart. Trust me.

I don't understand why he would end up at Bristol City. He was doing a job at Palace and surely there are 10 bigger and better clubs who would take him!
