With some of the quite frankly obscene bids floating about (ourselves included), does that mean FFP is dead or are the league administrators going to be very busy passing out transfer embargos next summer?
I can understand some of the ex Prem clubs chucking cash around due to parachute payments but the likes of Wednesday and us (if either Gayle or Grey had joined) must be way over the allowed figures?

It does seem very strange. Some clubs are playing very much within the rules, while others are flouting them very publicly. Clubs have either got to be forced to stick to them or they should be scrapped, this middle ground just gives huge advantages to the rule breakers.

i think everyone's looked at how QPR have been allowed to build despite breaking them last time, and though well might as well take the gamble if the reward is the PL, i honestly think the FL has no chance now to control this

banning 16 clubs with embargos won't make the FL any stronger

Agreed but I would be mightily pissed off if I were a supporter of Forest or Blackburn, clubs still under an embargo.
It seems there are one set of rules for some clubs and different rules for others. How QPR have got away with this is beyond me to be honest.

It's a bit of a mess isn't it? Where's the guidance from the FL?
FFP is a joke IMO, never should've been added. All it really does is save a few clubs and furthers the distance between the current top 5/6 of the BPL from the rest of the teams in England.

Around 8m on 14 players.....
I think Wednesday have played it smarter than most clubs this transfer window, you've decided not to bid crazy sums for English players and take the risk and go for slightly cheaper foreign players.

Quite a lot of those either free/cheap transfers from England or cheap players abroad. If those players from abroad kick on then you might have just done the best pieces of business of the summer.

Imagine if Bristol City would have made a £10m for McCormack - this place would have gone into meltdown already.
