Agent talk is Blackman is coming to us and not Wednesday. £3m.

Don't want him. Too much for a one season wonder.

Blackburn as i'd posted :D
Didn't see that mate, but it makes sense what with Lambert being there.

Pain in the arse for us, have to waste more time going after a right winger now. 'kin hell.

Aye it's a bit naughty on our part but it's part and parcel of Football i'm afraid, it's probably an opening gambit from us.
Yeah - not a comment on your team specifically, more Championship teams in general. Some seem to be very happy to talk about other team's players to the press...

Rawson now on loan until the end of the season, do the same with Grant Ward and Tony Andreu and that'll be our best bit of business no matter who else we sign.

Didn't Brentford use a similar tactic when signing Will Grigg from Walsall in L1?

He was out of contract, so we were free to speak to him anyway... The problem there was about not agreeing compensation as he was under 24, and it went to a tribunal (as those deals always do). Don't see that being the same situation at all?

Manchester United striker Nick Powell was reported as a strong target.

However, it is understood to be more a case of PNE being among a handful of clubs who have been approached by United about taking the 21-year-old on loan.

As it stands, Powell’s wages – or just a contribution to them – would be on the expensive side for North End.

Rule this one out.

Ah fair enough, was unclear about it myself, just remember it ending messy and going to a tribunal.

If he had any decent length to his contract he'd be £6m+ in today's market. If true then a bidding war could drive the price up further.

£3m is a little crazy though, for £1m-£1.5m it would be worth a risk for many Champ/lower Prem teams, but £3m will price a lot out.

As long as we get in enough to bring in a goalscorer I don't mind at all.

He's a little bell anyway.

Hates football now apparently.
Remember him saying that he was 'disillusioned with football' and 'losing interest' a few months back. Doesn't surprise me, as good as his pay packet will be at United, it can't be much fun not even making the matchday squad every week.

Victim of his own greed if you like.

He went from Crewe to Man Utd, does he really think he's just going to walk into their team? He's a Championship standard player at best, massively overhyped.

Would he though, we paid £3m for Forestieri, is Blackman worth that?

Forestieri was fourth choice for Watford (behind Ighalo, Deeney and Vydra).

Blackman is our top scorer. We are also in direct competition with you.

I don't think he's worth £3m (£2m probably) but if a couple of clubs are interested I can easily see him going for that. £3m to sign one of the top scorers this season is peanuts when Gray cost £9m, Afobe will cost £12m, Rhodes will cost £14m. Austin will probably cost £8-10m this January with only 6 months left too.

Forestieri is a better player but time will tell, suspect we won't get into a bidding war as the owners of our respective clubs are quite close, once a bid is accepted why would we go above and beyond.

ITK'er who is never wrong says Blackman is in advanced talks with us. Up to him to decide between us and Sheff Wed.

Ugh.

Gladwin back to Swindon, Robinson back to PNE. Only one man left to return to City and the circle is complete.
