Liam Dickinson is one of the very worst professional footballers I have ever seen. God knows how he had a good season at Stockport. The bloke was totally useless, lazy and a nob to boot.

He was about 16 stone when we flogged him to you, I heard he was about 20 stone when you sent him to Grimsby or wherever. Right fat fucker he was.

So we've been turned down by Gayle, Grey and now Clough?
I hate football! We've shown our ambition but can never close the deal.
Wait for the 'Is it SL or SC debate' now.
Apologies to other clubs, this is going to get really boring now.
I give up! :ffs:

And Bennett. It's embarrassing mate, but it was inevitably going to happen with all 3.

What worries me is the fact that we get rejected and seem so shocked - are we not in contact with their agents prior to making the bid to see if they're even remotely fucking interested, before we make ourselves look ridiculous yet again?

Our new approach is too bid far higher than any other club, in hope that the player gets bullied into coming here by their parent club.

It is a real shame though. Because I do feel like we're 3-4 signings off having a very competitive team in this league.
You're 10-11 players off having a very competitive team in this league the table doesn't lie.

JUST GET THE BEST PLAYERS FROM LEAGUE ONE/ABROAD

WE HAVE NO CHANCE OF GETTING ANY GOOD PLAYERS IN THIS LEAGUE BELIEVE IT OR FUCKING NOT SC (or whoever is in control of transfers)

Sorry, our transfer business is really beginning to get me pissed. Seems we can't come to a simple conclusion that anyone who is any good in this league and up for sale won't come to us.

Some of the Wolves players seemed to either be mimicing or mocking KJ on twitter last night, but all the tweets are gone now. Jed Wallace has joined Millwall onloan, and the Batth and Byrne were saying that they hoped he could show 'power', which is what KJ keeps saying in press conferences.

It'll only get worse until we are sold. Morgan will be happy to sell all of our assets and replace them with bargain League 2 players or kids from the academy.

Morgan and Moxey are toxic to our club.

Nixon and Stockhausen still reckon Clough deal is still very much on - it'll come down to if another club put up as much as we have.

If he signs i would be surprised, everyone knows Clough is a good talent and will bid the amount that we have because they have bags of money and can afford to make a risk like this. (i'm thinking about teams like Burnley, Derby, Boro etc, etc.)

Apparently Boro made a 'derisory' bid for him earlier in the week.

I hope we're looking at other targets, because the chances are another club would match our bid, but if we pull it off (highly unlikely) it'd be some coup.

Yeah, but with the fact we are super focused on getting somebody who is in the championship suggests that this could be another dire window. We need to look abroad and in the lower leagues or otherwise we will get fuck all and have a even larger possibility of going down then we had before the window. Not saying we won't stay up though.

Worth a punt mate. Get one decent player through the door and the rest will be easier to come by.

If your £3m bid is true I struggle to see many clubs matching that. Birmingham bid £750k (?) earlier in the week and there were rumours that Bolton were only looking for around 1-1.5m.

It's only those few clubs you mentioned who could afford him, but they are more in need of players who are good at this level now and capable of stepping up to the Prem immediately which Clough isn't.

Wednesday and Wolves are both more than capable, especially Wolves with the money they've just got for Afobe and needing a replacement.

That's true. But even so it will be a hell of a struggle to get anyone else that is decent in this league with the position we are in, so lower league gems and foreigners would work out better in my opinion.
