He's good but he's not 5 million quid good!

Fry and MacAnthony have a way of getting huge sums for our players though. 8 Million for Gayle, 5 or 6 Million for Assombalonga, along with 7 figure amounts for players like Ryan Bennett,Lee Tomlin, Paul Taylor, Craig Mackail Smith

If we got more than a million for him, I would be surprised. He is nowhere near the quality of any of the strikers named above.

We have already put in a bid, apparently anyway. Think he would do well here?

Other rumours are of Bamford or Gayle joining us on loan.

Think this Nicolai Boilesen has the potential to be the signing of the season looking at his stats. Made captain of a once world class side like Ajax at the age of 21 and a decent amount of international caps for Denmark.

But why is he moving to Wolves, surely he should be going to a much better side than ourselves. Either way it's shows a little more ambition than signing players from the likes of Shrewsbury or Luton.

Everton claiming Sam (desperately wants to play in the PL and can't cope on his 12k per week wages) Byram stalling on terms

here's what is really happening Everton whisper to Sam, "wait until June and we can give you a higher offer because we will get you for cheaper by tribunal" Sam devastated that he has to come back but delighted at more wages in June

sort of like a legal tap up

If you have the chance of Dwight Gayle I would put everything behind that.

I like Conor but he's not a seven figure player. He's improved vastly this year but you do wonder whether it's just a purple patch.

Still takes him 6/7 chance to score one as well.

Having done a quick bit of research, I don't think he's quite got the pedigree that you're making out bud.

Only 52 appearances at the age of 23, spread over a 5yr period.

Ajax aren't the European powerhouse they once were. The standard of the Eredivisie looks to have dropped dramatically, too.

Only £300k though, so I suppose it's a fairly risk free gamble to a club like Wolves.

He's actually played more games for Denmark than he has for Ajax which is strange. If you include those it's over 100 apps which isn't so bad. He was due to sign for Newcastle last season but the deal fell through.

But I do agree that it is hyped up. Also the fact that he's going to Wolves and not a top European club also makes me think that he isn't all that. Just excited to sign someone that isn't from League 2 to be honest.

If they want him they wouldn't do that. £3m is nothing to Prem clubs.

Why risk it? In the summer what if someone comes in and offers more cash on wages? I guess Byram might have been advised to wait and see if West Ham come to the table.

Sounds like Reading are signing George Evans from Man City after he turned us down. He's been on loan at Walsall this season, really good player apparently.

Except it wasn't a rape, but dont let facts get in the way of a good story.

Try trebling that bid and you might have a sniff. Especially as there's a very real chance we'll be in the higher division next season.
Why are you telling a Preston fan to treble his bid?
As for your chance of being in a higher division, that's why we want to sign your player among others. I have every confidence, we will survive now that we have made a change and new players are imminent.
Bear in mind we absolutely pissed L1 and have struggled, it's bloody tough up here!

I don't doubt for a second that we'd get relegated if we did get promoted, but we'd still stand a good chance of being a division above you next season if Dack was with us all year. We know you have money, and Scally isn't stupid - expect a premium on any players you try to sign, purely because of your ridiculous transfer activity in the summer.

Can't argue with that apart from the assumption that we are going down. I do appreciate you would stand a better chance of promotion with pack in your side, he looks decent.
No idea if this is a decent source...

Well Byram moving to premier league for what £4m? Players are only worth what a club is willing to accept for them

City won't go down given their resources available this month, they'll buy their way out of trouble. Especially now they've potted that clown Cotterill.
