Some Turkish club have supposedly expressed an interest in Darren Bent. Think we'll sell if that's true.

Deserves some football and it's not looking great for him here, he's still got plenty to offer in this country yet too.

Good signing Golbourne for Bristol City, would much rather he stayed here but our board wouldn't know what a good player is if it slapped them in the face. Good luck to him

On a side note, and sorry as I don't know where else to put this, but it says a lot that our team in league 1 was miles better than the team we have now.

League 1

Hennessey

Iorfa - Batth - Stearman - Golbourne

McDonald - Price

Henry - Sako - Dicko

Griffiths

Championship

Ikeme

Iorfa - Batth - Ebanks Landell - Doherty

McDonald - Coady

Henry - Edwards - Dicko

Zyro / Le Fondre
And some people still think Kenny Jackett should be in charge of this club :ffs:

Tomlin confirmed until the end of the season, will wear number 9.

Tomlin is probably the most talented we've had under MacAnthony. His problem is that he's a fucking dickhead.

The minute something pisses him off, that's it, you've lost him. If it's in a game, red card. If it's not and it's just around the club, he'll push away for a move. Well known for upsetting a dressing room.

Shame, as I said, his talent isn't in question. If he wasn't a dickhead, he'd be doing very well in the Premier League, I don't doubt that. He'll be an excellent signing if you keep him focussed.

In the space of a couple of years, our front six had gone in League One from:

Snodgrass-Howson-Johnson-Gradel

Beckford-Becchio

to

Paul Green-Michael Tonge-Michael Brown-David Norris

Varney-Morison

Good times. In Warnock we trust.

Golbourne now confirmed. Our only second permanent signing in nearly a year.

A couple more in and we might have something resembling a squad.

On a little side note, listening to his interview it's nice to have 'one of our own' back.

Fuck you SF, everytime you say his damn name it brings the stupidity of SC and co.

If it's any consolation, he had a fucking nightmare against Brentford on Saturday, although in fairness I think that was his first bad game for us.

I wouldn't wish suffering on Cunningham at other clubs, I still relatively like the bloke but he went down in my estimations slightly a few weeks back when we played you.

He's a good player is Cunningham, and it was stupidity to let him go so cheaply without a replacement but I'm happy with Golbourne now.

Why? Cos he scored the winner?

Scott Golbourne is decent, one of the better fullbacks in the league I'd say. Always a consistant 7/10 anyway. Scores the odd goal too.

Was running towards Cotterill but got held back apparently. I'm glad he celebrated though, fucking hate it when players don't celebrate against their old clubs, but wasn't really any need for that.

As SF said, Cotterill is an absolute c*** and wrongly let Cunningham leave when he probably didn't want to. There was every need. I wish they hadn't held him back, would've loved to see him lay him out.

Why would he have not wanted to leave? You've guaranteed him first team football, in hindsight he would have got it here but that didn't seem to be the case with the form that Joe Bryan was in last season.

He can't have any complaints about not featuring as much as he'd have liked too last season with Bryan playing how he was, he didn't really fit into the 3-5-2 as he's not an attacking wingback.

Really happy with Golbourne, welcome home lad.

Cunningham wanted to leave as he wasn't getting game time. Cotterill did the right thing for his career by letting him go, so it wouldn't have been that which angered Cunningham. Was probably pissed off that he didn't get a proper chance last year.

Golbourne is an excellent signing for Bristol City. Gutted to see him go, but wish him well. What is good about SG is that he's intelligent and when he develops a relationship with another player, there is real synergy. Both Golbourne and Sako (and Wolves) were much better when they were playing together: they understood each other, and we were at our most dangerous over two very good seasons when these two were on the pitch. Golbourne is quick, prepared to take on people, gets the ball out of defence intelligently (rather than hoof it out), works hard and delivers inch-perfect crosses.

He makes mistakes - maybe more than average - but the reward is some attractive, smart football with the occasional flash of brilliance and those precision crosses. He's not PL quality, but that's not going to be a huge problem for a Bristol team for a few years yet. If he hasn't shined of late at Molineux, it's more because he hasn't had the time to develop the relationship with any of the 423 players who Jackett has tried on the left in midfield this season.

Yes. We are absolutely mad to let him go. Popular with his team mates and always contributes high quality football.

Greg was also liking tweets that were celebrating him scoring the goal that sacked Cotterill.

Went down in my estimations too.

Goulbourne and Tomlin aren't too exciting individually, but the two of them together really adds balance to our squad, which I'm happy with. We've only gone and signed a player permanently!
