Would happily have Ferdinand back at Reading (if he's fit). Would walk into our starting 11 currently.

Wouldn't mind us signing Ferdinand. Definitely better than what we've already got in the way of CB options.

Properly fucking depressing being a Nobber at the minute.

We've signed Luke Garbutt on loan until January to cover for Reece James injury, he's scheduled to be back around Christmas so I can't really complain with that. We've also had a 250k plus Craig Davies offer for Josh Vela at Bolton rejected. Hey big spenders!

Garbutt was so bad for us. Can't be any worse than that at least

Would expect Vela to cost a lot lot more than that.

Delighted to have Jordi Gomez back, a real top quality player. Was the best centre midfielder in this league, the second half of the 2013-14 season before moving back to the Premier League. Last night showed we were just lacking that player who can unlock defences as Birmingham were ultra defensive and hard to break down and Jordi can certainly provide that. A midfield 5 of Gomez, Power, Gilbey, Wildshcut and Powell looks excellent this level, a combination of skill, pace, power and young with plenty of room for development too.

Yup. Jedinak. So that's Westwood out of the first XI, just need a winger or two and a right back now and I'll be relatively happy with the squad.

Obviously would never happen but a bit of fun anyway, The Sun has linked us with Mario Balotelli.

Brilliant signing this. Would have loved him at Wolves.

Definitely, we've done some great business so far... Chester, Elphick, McCormack, Jedinak, Gollini. Looking good, only one that is looking like he could be a bit shit was the one gamble we made. (Gollini)

Good signing. I'm really starting to like the look of our team, and I think for once we have made some good signings. If we can get our shit together quick I think automatic promotion is definitely within our reach.

Seems a bit ridiculous but having started the opening game, Toumani Diagouraga (and Luke Murphy) has been told he can leave the club. Hmm. Was really good last year, then played CB in pre-season. Had a stinker at QPR but then so did everyone. Can only assume a falling out.

Desperately need a striker, centreback and fullback.

But looks like we're about to sign Sandro Wieser, a Liechtenstein international defensive midfielder.

I imagine you'll be getting a bid from Rangers shortly then, Warburton loves him

So we've basically swapped Morsy (providing he goes) and Huws for MacDonald and Gomez. Very happy with that to be honest. Starting to sound like a broken record but I'll say it again, a striker and right back are still needed to complete the jigsaw!

Lost a lot of youth and resaleability, but Gomez and Macdonald have much more experience of the championship and that's what you need right now. Very good moves if you ask me.

Supposedly us and Fulham are fighting it out for James Wilson on loan.

Didn't seem to be all that at Brighton. Hope Fulham get him.

Our problem is that we rebuild a whole team year on year. It's like going mad on FM and it not working out.

Green

Ayling
Bartley
Jansson
Taylor

Bridcutt
Vieira

Sacko
Hernandez
Roofe

Antonsson

Could be a legit side for us this year which is pretty insane (only 2 of those played for us last year). Fair enough the likes of Mowatt, Wood and Dallas will play their part too but it's still quite an alarming shift.

Just wish we could keep hold of a spine and add quality to it, rather than changing the whole team and expecting it to work straight away.

Annoyingly if this Jansson is any good, we have to buy him for about £4m if he plays 20 games for us so no doubt we'll freeze him out come the new year.

I'm sure we can match you in the revolving door department.

Since the start of Summer 2015 we've signed 25 first team players. We will sign at least two more this window too.

That's very similar to us mate. I think we're suffering from the fact that our squad just hasn't gelled yet.

In our defeat to Huddersfield;

Sels - June 2016
Janmaat - July 2014
Mbemba - July 2015
Lascelles - August 2014 - Returned from season loan in August 2015
Dummett - Debut in 2013
Anita - August 2012
Hayden - July 2016
Shelvey - January 2016
Aarons/Ritchie - Debut in August 2014/July 2016
Diame/Perez - August 2016/June 2014
Gayle - July 2016

Barring Anita and Dummet, the rest of that starting XI have all come in within the last two years with the majority of those arriving in the last 12 months. Been a big turnaround in that time I honestly think it will take a good number of games to get used to the current system.

It's just shite because we never think far enough ahead. Loans, short contracts being offered. For example, just signed Bridcutt for 2 years (apparently the player wanted 3). He has a good year this year and then we'll sell him next...we only ever give our young talent 2 years which is essentially 1 as we're unlikely to let them run down to expiry. Next year when loanees likely go back, we sell a couple of our better players and a couple get released at the end of their contracts, we have to start from scratch again.

It might work for some teams when they can afford top-end players but we keep gambling on a one-season wonder to get promoted but the players we have aren't capable of doing it. Need to cement a solid spine and then add to it rather than starting every season with a new manager and 7 new players in the first XI.

We're having similar issues, but it needed doing (SEVENTEEN FUCKING POINTS), so yeah... Our potential line up for the next game is:

Gollini (signed this summer)
Bacuna (3rd season)
Chester (summer)
Elphick (summer)
Cissokho (3rd season)
Tshibola (summer)
Jedinak (summer)
Grealish (ages, youth)
McCormack (summer)
Ayew (last season)
Gestede (last season)

Not to mention the fact we're after more players (reportedly a right back, an attacking midfielder and a striker/winger), so the way things are going we may be fielding an XI of completely new players.

Linked with Sebastien Haller from FC Utrecht. Never heard of the guy but it looks unlikely as both Monaco and Sporting are linked with him too.
