Mawson's move to Swansea set to be complete today. QPR youngster Cole Kpekawa looks like the player we'll be bringing in to replace him with a fee of around £450k agreed.

According to the guardian Jordon Mutch is Derby's replacement for Hendrick, who looks like he will leave to Burnley.

According to someone on our forum who is 'in the know' and usually spot on Mawson has gone for £3million initially with add ons to follow. Also says that we have a 40% sell on for him.

Apparantly Gyan failed a medical so we won't be bringing him in. Won't be fully fit for eight weeks. Still hoping we bring in one more striker. Rumours saying that McCleary is joining Cardiff.

Considering we've turned £3m bids down earlier this summer I doubt that. Will be a £5m fee plus add-ons if rumours are to be believed from our end. Which, with all due respect, should be closer to the mark than someone not associated with either Swansea or Barnsley. Would also be very disappointed if the sell on clause is 40%. If there is a sell on clause that is. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about this kind of thing but Mawson joined us after turning a contract down with Brentford for which they received compensation, would they be in a position to even ask for a sell on fee?

Brighton reject 7m bid from Burnley for Dale Stephens. Presumably Hendrick is Burnley's other option.

It didn't go to tribunal and we negotiated the fee between the club's if I recall correctly.

We have four very ITK fans who regularly speak to the owner. Two of them have indicated that we let you have Mawson for zero up front and a 40% sell on. It matters little to you or us - as none of the fans have any budget oversight, but none of the info these guys pass along has ever been incorrect as far as I can remember.

If the zero up front in exchange for 40% is true then fair enough. Would be disappointed to learn that we paid a fee plus a 40% sell on though.

We don't need to sell anyone at the moment as the club is in a very healthy financial position. Plus Mawson has 2 years left on his contract. So whatever the outcome I'm confident it will be a favourable deal for us.

Leon Best has joined Ipswich on a one year deal. Should be ok as a squad player.

£17m lol Crazy money but I think some City fans are underrating how good he is.

20 goals (headers, tap ins, long rangers) many made by himself, in his first season whilst not speaking English - great going.

Abraham is possibly better but that makes us very lucky this season.

Romain Saiss has signed for 3m

Sorry to interrupt, you can carry on talking about Kodija and Mawson again now.

Signing Gustav Engvall for £1.2m supposedly from IFK Göteborg, whether Kodjia's direct replacement or not got to trust Johnson and Ashton after the window so far

It's Kodjia, we've confirmed it. £11m upfront rising to £15m and a sell on fee for any future profit

So he's gone from being:

"A world class striker"

To:

"The best choice for us"

Don't think we'll be splashing the cash though, same plan as Kodjia, look abroad to where markets are less inflated and try to bring in young talents. Tammy is our #1 choice for this season anyway.

Shafted Villa twice in four days. Still, good player, 20 goals kept us in the league last season and bagged us a huge profit. Cheers Kodj and all the best.

Villa in full football manager mode.

Really disappointed with the recent outs at City, tough season ahead

I'd say their fans are. I'm extremely underwhelmed. I do stand to be corrected though.

He's a good player. He scored 20 last year for us in a struggling team, often with very little support. The talent is there, although his decision making can be very suspect and he's often at his best when he doesn't have to think about a chance.

Clearly he's been out of sorts the last few weeks sulking behind the scenes, but clearly he was here at City for a stepping stone so I guess whilst the fans are sorry to see a good player leave there is no great affinity and the fee is huge.

Regardless, Kodjia is not worth the fee, he's as one footed as Daniel Day Lewis in my left foot

You've got to be joking? Our squad is light years ahead of where we were this time last year.

It's now a very young inexperienced squad, City have moved on some real talent and not replaced them leaving a paper thin squad.

I really had hopes that this was the season and City were going up now all I can see is a relegation or lower table finish
