You've got to be joking? Our squad is light years ahead of where we were this time last year.

He's a wum.

Anyway, we have got a cracking deal. He will score goals but there is so much missing from his game. I think that shows by the response by nearly all City fans who can't believe how much we have received. I think Abraham's form has alot to do with it too. He wanted to go and got his wish. Don't see Villa going up anytime time soon but his wages would have doubled no doubt.

I don't think we will go big for a striker, got a young forward coming from Sweden for just over a million and expect one more.

It's a cracking bit of business.

I love how I am labelled a wind up merchant for being real.

It's only a shame he hasn't gone to a Premier League club, from Kodjia's perspective.

I'm a big fan of the way we are trying to operate, buy em cheap, sell em big. Great for us and the players.

Thanks to Kodjia for an awesome season.

Cheers Kodjia, I just wish Abraham was ours. A much better striker, but there's no chance he'll be in this division next season.

Ridiculous transfer fee, especially when you consider Alcacer has just been signed by Barca for only £7m more than Kodija...

£5m for Mawson is also ridiculous. Shame we can't compete with other clubs on the selling front as well as the buying front.

It's now a very young inexperienced squad, City have moved on some real talent and not replaced them leaving a paper thin squad.

I really had hopes that this was the season and City were going up now all I can see is a relegation or lower table finish
Players Out:
Karleigh Osborne - Didn't play
Scott Wagstaff - Barely used
Wes Burns - Inexperienced
Adam El-Abd - Didn't play
Luke Ayling - Replaced by Matthews
Keiran Agard - Barely used
Jonathan Kodjia - 1 year in England and sold for £15m

O'Neil and Matthews have added experience for players coming in and they will feature compared to those who left did not, so if anything our starting XI is more experienced. Let some 'real talent' leave, out of the above who have we either not replaced, or appear to be in the process of replacing? As for the paper thin squad, we've sold/let go 7 (Wes only on loan) and brought in 9, with what LJ hopes is another 1 or 2 to come in before the deadline so our squad will be 4 bigger than last season.

It does appear that you love your opinions to be going against the grain. However maybe this top should be moved to the designated City squad as I sense discussions about Kodjia could go on for a while and we've covered the aspects of the deal.

Mind using your own thread? Today official transfers have already been buried beneath Bristol City related posts and it's only 4pm...

£15 fucking million :£:£
He's a good player, but £15m:lol:.
Villa fans- be prepared for moments that are brilliant, tonnes of times lamenting him making his run too early and utter confusion at how a professional footballer has such a bad left foot.

It's pretty big news in fairness, most expensive deal ever in this division.

Norwich have signed Nelson Oliviera from Benfica on a 4 year deal, got 9 from 29 games for Forest last season. Will do a job for them I suppose.

Tom Lawrence signed on a season long loan for Ipswich too.

Could be a decent signing that, I'd imagine he'd get better service at Norwich

Decent being the word I think. Don't see him setting the league alight. Any rumoured fee?

Idrissa Sylla is on his way to QPR from Anderlecht for about 1.75 million. I think this bloke had a medical at Wolves, but it failed? Could be wrong though. Doesnt seem to be prolific but time will tell. At least its a striker though.

Now we just need a winger and someone who can create something.
