Contrary to popular belief you do not need a 20+ goal a season striker to get promoted or even just make the playoffs.

We're currently third and our top scorer has 8 goals.

We won the league 5 years ago and our top scorer had scored 12 times (2 of which were after promotion was assured)

I know you don't but it gives you a better chance. If you don't have one then the goals need to be spread out a lot more or go up like boro did being incredibly fucking boring.

When we finished 4th in '08 our top goalscorer was Byfield with 8 goals, we fucked up in January by not bringing in a striker otherwise we'd have probably gone up instead of Stoke. Fine margins...

Town have confirmed the signing of Wales international Emyr Huws on loan from Cardiff City for the remainder of the season.

lol fuck off mick, evans & milne

You forgot the little rat that is Terry Connor, when Mick gets sacked he'll try and worm his way into your full time gaffer. Then he'll crawl back to being MM's assistant when it becomes public knowledge that he is useless.

Well Venky's asset stripping is (pretty much) complete. Can they fuck off now?

Thanks for Ben Marshall. 1.2m? Quality signing.

Also a good window for us. If we still had Afobe or somebody of that ilk in this team I'd have no doubt we would be playoff contenders.

Current prem leaders - top goalscorer in the league.
Current championship leaders- top goalscorer in the league
Current league one top two- joint top goalscorer in the league.
Current league two leaders - 2nd top goalscorer in the league.

I think it's safe to say it makes a huge difference most of the time.

I'd argue better teams create more chances and score more goals. A lot of strikers playing for poor teams could score a lot of goals if they played for one of the teams at the top of the table.

That could be a valid point in fairness. But proper goalscorers score wherever they are. The two best in the championship in the last 5 years are Rhodes and mcormack they played for Blackburn, Fulham and Leeds. None of them were doing well.

:lol: :fl::pmsl:

Rovers embarrassing themselves even further. This is like when they got relegated to non-league and tried taking Wycombe to court for some ridiculous incident to be reinstated into the league.
FFS! What are they like? What can they possibly gain from this?
It was common knowledge and posted in the national media exactly what the figure was. They would sue their own granny if she didn't put the right amount of sugar in their tea that lot!
All they need now is the UWE to fail so they can take someone else to court, or will they smash that up like they supposedly have Matty Taylors' house?

Where do you see Hogan fitting in? Back-up to Kodjia or part of a front two?
upfront with kodjia. If it works God help teams next season. Saying that he will turn to shit once he puts that claret and blue shirt on.

Villa have killed a player who had scored 66 Championship goals in the previous 3 seasons, i'd fancy them to turn Hogan into a bag of shit as well.

And what are they even hoping for? Best case scenario is they get back a player who's burnt his bridges and all their fans know would rather play for City than for them. Recipe for success that. The desperation of that club is unreal.

Loved your reply to that tweet btw JJ

Tbf Kodjia's done alright. McCormack seems the type to need a team built around him, which was never likely to happen with Villa's approach of just buy any good Championship player that moves and hope you can cobble them together

Used to be a top player in this division at Watford but suffered an ACL injury there and won't ever be the same player again.

Couldn't ever get himself fit enough to play, 45 minutes in 6 months here. No doubt he'll play a blinder on Saturday.

We always seem to sign a player who's over the hill or just plain fucked by injurys so there's no surprise there. If we can get a good 45 mins out of him then im sure it's better than 90 mins with the current shite we have atm i suppose.

On paper he was probably our 2nd best centre back after Flint, he's been fit for a long time but Lee didn't like him for whatever reason.

Storming game and winning goal undoubtedly on Saturday.

The banter as Leeds pull out the deal of the window on the 2nd Jan.

Jansson confirmed on a three year contract from the summer.

We've paid 3.5m for him. He could probably die tomorrow and be worth more.

Everything was all agreed with the club but the greedy c*** wanted is wages trebled so we told to fuck right off and enjoy league 2 football next season.

Never happened. Three bids and none were accepted.

Please stop lying and maybe just admit players don't want to join Rotherham.

Not according to the man himself he wasn't

http://m.bristolpost.co.uk/the-coac...ty-departure/story-30106474-detail/story.html

"I do not buy that it (the club) says, "I've been injured." For I have been available for some time now. I think I've been good, but not had the chance to Bristol City."

I also didn't buy it that he was constantly injured as he was making appearances for the u23's.
Fair enough, I saw the quote ' they didn't like how I played football'. If I was judging him on the half I've seen, nor do I. I thought he was hopeless TBH.

And is that a good thing then all that means is your chairman makes money while you still pay £37 to watch championship football. Always find it funny when football fans think it's to there personal gain when they're club makes millions of profit on a player.
