Hmmm, we will have to wait and see I guess but it's certainly a lot of money. A bit of research says that Angers played ultra defensively in L1 last season but 8 goals isn't exactly prolific.
There were some fairly big clubs interested in him so we, obviously, hope he's decent.

Everything can be distorted with stats, 14/15 he scored 3 in 27 in the same league, you'd have to hope his 15/16 goals record isn't just a one season wonder

I've seen Connor Mahoney was on the verge of signing for Preston or Forest at various points recently. I take it neither actually completed? Because we're supposed to be signing him now on a 'free' (out of contract with a bit of compo) from Blackburn. Like Emmerson Hyndman he'd probably be farmed back out on loan again, whether that's the best thing for him, I doubt?

Sad to see Wallace go. Was very good at Pompey and not given a real opportunity at Wolves. He'll come back to haunt us.
Happy to move young George on though. We didn't sell many kid's shirts with the name Saville on the back, tbh.

It does seem to be a huge gamble when you go for furners. They can be brilliant (Helder Costa for us last season) or dire (Paul Gladon for us last season). But comparing them last summer, you'd probably have expected performances to be the other way round.

Josh Harrop signed on a 4 year deal for a significant fee.

4 year deal shows that the club think really highly of this guy, i'm looking forward to seeing him play but i'm not sure how he will fit in. Maybe similar to Will Keane (hopefully more effective) and floating behind the striker, i'm convinced he's our McGeady replacement.
