Konstantin Kerschbaummer is joining Bielefeld in Germany's 2nd division on loan. Good player just not able to get into our team on a regular basis. Hopefully if he does well we can recoup most of the fee from the original transfer.

Also frees up a bit more budget for us to get in a striker.

Was just about to post this, minus the being good bit. We'll be midtable again next season at best unless we can get a midfielder in that can dictate a game. A lot will depend on if Zohore can carry his form over into the new season as well.
Still, Manga re-signing is a huge boost if we can somehow keep him fit. If not then it's just a waste of money

You will do, you have to replace Whittingham anyway and him five years ago would've been exactly the sort of player you need now, so you'll go out and get someone.

Done some smart business so far, you and Preston are probably the best bets at the moment for top six dark horses.

I certainly hope so, we've been crying out for a midfielder to replace Whittingham for a good few years now. Hoping that Warnock has a few aces up his sleeve to push us on. Still need another striker as well as a winger I feel.

Warnock once swapped Luciano Becchio a 20 goal striker for Steve Morison

has he signed Paddy Kenny yet?

Felix Weidwald linked with Leeds

Gk Werder Bremen

And us, I think the reason we are organising a friendly with Werder Bremen is because we plan to sign him.

Also after a Scottish left back Barry Douglas for 1m. Used to play for Dundee Utd, but has also played for Lech Poznan (another team we have in a friendly) and now at Konyaspor in Turkey.

The Terry rumours won't go away, the reckoning is that he's turned down Blues and will sign for us this weekend. I'm still wary he'll do a Ferdinand.

Is your new gaffer well versed in the 2nd tier in Spain Kevin? HD Huesca is not a club I know anything about TBH and wondered if his forte was that division?

He's got a lot of contacts with segunda managers like hierro as he played with them at Madrid, he seems to like foreign players though not been linked with a single British player yet

Very quiet for Wednesday at the minute, only rumours of Lewis Mgugan might finally be getting a move away after spending the last 12 months in the stands. Then again we didn't make our first signing until the 1st July last season.

Whenever I've seen Lewis McGugan he always looks a brilliant player at this level, but always seems to be transfered away, any reason for this?

I agree he's a quality player, got a great right foot, scores all types of goals from midfield, think he got 12 or 13 the other season for Watford. He's just never fit into the mould of midfielder that Carlos likes, something along the lines of he can't play the way he wants him too. Carlos much prefers the hard working, energetic midfielders like Bannan and Lee, McGugan would be a good signing for most clubs at this level.

Flint linked away with a move to Fulham, Villa and Boro yesterday for £4m. Would be surprised.

Or more to the point he's a pain in the arse.

There's a reason why, despite his obvious talent, he's moved on by clubs, ability can and will only take you so far, attitude and application will take you even further.

Lewis McGugan has the ability to have earned 250+ Pl appearances, a few goals and be financially secure for life...... But did he ever want it enough.

Yeah heard from quite a few people that after having his young un he was late for training sometimes understandably, but after a while it became a persistent thing, totally agree it's an attitude problem.

Its his attitude that has let him down - like so many potentially very good young players.

Certainly did well scoring wise for us but there was just something lacking - didn't help it was the season we came 13th/14th and had a poor side.

From the ever-reliable youtube videos he looks a more physical version of Kodjia. Excited by this
