In for Callum Robinson along with a few other clubs according to HITC. Shall pass after his loan spell here.

John August reporting Derby have made a bid for Che Adams. Go get him lads before Saturday, he scored in both games against us last year.

Does anyone actually pay attention to those articles linking 4 clubs to one player? Obvious bollocks.

According to HITC a couple of weeks ago, PNE, Barnsley and Rangers wanted Ryan Tunnicliffe, the week before it was Ipswich, Reading and Bolton... he signed for Millwall...

They sure like to spread their bets.

I think the thing is- certainly RE Flint & particularly Bryan, the fees are so high to ward off bidders.
Flint will be £5m plus. In Mark Ashton we have an astute negotiator, we have no need to sell as he has 3 years on his contract.
With Bryan there is, I think, a year less on his contract. But we have only Golbourne (little to no presence in pre-season) and a teenager as cover. It is a position we need to keep hold of, so price driven up there. He is a fan of the club (for the little that means in modern football) and we have said we will only sell him to a Prem club. After doing this with Kodjia, we only sold him after what was very much widely regarded as an over the top bid came in, stands to reason if we let Bryan go to a Championship club it will be the same circumstances. Or he will go to a Prem side, which in itself brings an inflated fee.

Don't get me wrong, I do think the "best part of £20m" I said in my above post is far more than what the players are worth- but I think that is what it would take at this moment for us to accept.
He has a little less than 2 years on his contract

Dread to think how far down he is our list. Stinks of desperation if there's any truth in it.

You can count on us to over pay for average players at this level that's for sure.

How much have you seen of Che Adams?

I like Che Adams, definitely wouldn't say he's average, only 21 too, in fact I don't see why Birmingham would contemplate getting rid with their current attacking options, plus the fact they have loads of money now.

Hardly at all, couple of times live and a handful on Sky. You're probably going to argue the opposite to the hilt which I would too if it were a player of ours I rated but he's not going to improve us out wide IMO. We've got average/good players already who chip in with a handful of goals/assists, we need a top top player which I don't think he is. (Yet).

If we swap Tom Ince for Che Adams I will be bitterly disappointed.

As much as I hope it doesn't happen, I do think Callum Robinson would be a decent replacement for Ince, similar styles and he only scored 3 less than him last season, 3 years younger though. Robinson being a bit of a fairy is a gripe i've had of him in the past but he's looking a bit more robust this season.

Not sure why i'm bigging him up when I hope Derby shove their bids up their ass.

I'd rather sign Robinson than Adams and from the little I've seen of Robinson he still looks very raw too. Robinson would slot into one of those wide positions of a 433 quite nicely where I think Adams would be better more centrally. Adams isn't going to play down the middle when we've got Martin, Nugent and Vydra.

Either way it'll be daft money. It appears nobody is budging on their valuations so we've gone from Jota, Lawrence, Ojo, Kent, Robinson to now Adams. Birmingham have apparently turned down a 5 million bid for Adams already this summer so what is it going to take to sign him?! 6/7/8 million to play a decent striker on the wing? Nah, we can do that already.

My preference would be Lawrence and then if not him, Robinson.

I reckon we would be looking for £7/8m for Robinson if Mick McCarthy is to be believed and we've valued Hugill at £6m.

Our record sale is Nugent for £6m (£1.5m going to Bury), so it's mad that we could potentially break it twice in one summer. Hopefully both stay put though.

Obviously you don't want to lose them but those fee's would soften the blows. Footballs on it's arse anyway but second tier player values are fucking embarrassing, unfortunately we're as guilty as any club for paying them in the first place.

Let's see what happens eh.

Actually signed or Ripley signed lol

Dunno I've only seen the pictures of him on Twitter.
I'm pretty certain he's signed.
Was in town earlier- when the instagram video was done which the Twitter photos came from.
Certainly seemed in a good mood.
IG video now been taken down possibly at the clubs request- it was clear they were in Bristol to anyone familiar with the area, doesn't take much to fill in the gaps.

Us and Brum have today been bidding for Isaac Vassell and he's been left out of their squad tonight.

Wonder where he's going... their fans seem to think he's the next Andre Gray; will probably be the next John Akinde if he joins us.
