Some rumblings on our side were that you'd ease off Vassell if we let you sign Flint for the cut price you were offering.

Doubt it. Birmingham won't match our valuation for flint, they're looking elsewhere for a CB.
We wouldn't match lutons valuation for vassell, Birmingham did. And now we are looking elsewhere for a striker.

Time will tell whether it's a good signing for Birmingham, think the rumoured fee represents a risk, but think it will probably pay off.

Still decent options, remember Russell having a great game at Deepdale 2 seasons back, end product is usually suspect though. Weimann did well at Wolves.

They're ok options, mid table players who are capable of brilliance but lack any sort of consistency. Russell's been off it for a couple of years now. He did have a decent game that year up at yours if I remember correctly though, 40 ping to Chris Martin who's touch and finish was pretty sexual for this level. I can imagine them doing well with a change of scenery.

Hopefully with the signing of Lawrence they both will be looking at each other tonight thinking they're up against each other now, not certain starters.

Looks like we may have finally solved our centre back crisis by signing Vitoria's captain Frederico Vanancio, 24 years old so the right age and has played a lot of games in what is a decent level. Apparently Fulham were sniffing around him at one point. Strangely it looks like a loan deal but I expect it'll be with an option to buy and he'll be on for more money for playing in the Championship than the Portuguese top flight, how mental is that? Just hope this gets done as we need it sorting now.

George Hirst was at Rotherham tonight so chances are he'll be going out on loan there, hope this means he's signing the contract we offered him. Daily mail reporting Leicester City will be back in with a £2M bid which I expect we'll reject.
