Rejected, but this is becoming a very shitty day. Seems we have given up on the season after an unlucky start, selling assets and will hope to stay up and go again next year.

I know we don't have a huge amount of money, and need to sell to plug the gap, but coming so soon after half our stadium plans have been scrapped is a massive kick in the teeth.

Aye, seems to be that you're the victim of your own success.

Still being linked to Billy Bodin.

Bristol Rovers fans seem to love him, would be happy with that one. Bagged 5 this season.

I think you're catastrophising things somewhat and are going a bit OTT. Jota and Dean were always off. It'll most likely be £6m rising to £8m, and if Colin goes it'll be for his release clause (£3.5m), so that would be £11.7m rising to £14m for three players who were always likely to leave this window.

Chuck in the £2m we got from the Gray transfer and £750k for Gogia and that's somewhere between £14.5m and ~£17m in sales for us this window, against a spend of ~£5m. We've added exceptional players (there's no way that Ollie Watkins has any less potential than Jota and Marcondes could very likely come in today) and have turned a massive profit.

The business model works and the club has always progressed each season. Calm down, brother. It'll be alright.

Scrap that one according to one of our local reporters...

Oh I know, the club will get stronger and stronger. The strategy is exactly right and I am entirely on board, doesn't mean that today won't feel a bit crap in the process.

It does also feel a bit crap that we can make £10m profit in January, and £15m profit in the summer, and still be financially screwed.

Brentford the Southampton of the championship.

Have to say they really are a great example of a business model & get some real gems through the door

We've bid €14m for Jurgen Locadia from PSV.
We were seriously in for him a while back - was frustrated at not starting at PSV and we stood a real chance apparently. Hogan coming good after his injury apparently put an end to our interest, but he looks a cracking signing.

Good afternoon all....

We've signed Luke Steele from Greece, presumably as a number two. Alright at Barnsley wasn't he Craig?

It's the un-level playing field of the Championship sadly. FFP and parachute payments totally screw well-run clubs like ours; Benham could arguably afford to fully go for it one season - ala Bournemouth - but the FFP risk is significant.

Is flint going is the question we all want to know
Doesn't look like it. We priced Boro, Brum and Norwich out of a move for him and they've gone and signed other players for less money.

Latest rumour is a midfielder from Celtic.

Potentially our only addition.

Hugill expected to stay put.
