Can your net spend really only be £12m?? You've already given £11m to us for only 3 of those players, and with add ons it could reach £14m.
Did the Brum negotiators come to your place in flat-bed Transits? Might want to check the lead and the zinc flashing is still on the roof, mate.

We've been very close to it as we've not sold a player for 2 years, think the last reasonable fee we got was for Stevie May around 800K. Credit to the chairman though for not selling our best players. Made this summer a little trickier though only spending 4M on Van Aken, Boyd was free, Venancio loan to buy and Butterfield I expect is the same.

I can't believe we got £500k back for May.

No idea what he was like pre-injury but he didn't look like a footballer after it. He's lucky to be still playing according to doctors.

Us? Over the last two seasons we've spent about £30m and made £25m of that back.

This year we've only really received money for Tomlin (£2.5m) but we have plenty of sellable assets and had plenty of big offers for players but we're not in a position where we need to sell our best players.

Last year we got £15m for Kodjia, £5m from a Bolasie sell on etc etc, and invested into players.

I know that clubs such as Villa, Derby and Wednesday are much closer to the FFP red line than we are.

Indeed we are, however, we will have one of the lowest net spends in the league this season and are STILL close to the red line regarding FFP due to silly wages still being paid to useless players (looking at you here, Richards and Agbonlahor), that and we were a bit wreckless last season, but we needed to be, or I'd be typing about us making a joke of the League One transfer window right now.

We're still getting flack here and other places even though we've made a profit of around £13.5million this window. Yeah, some will go on about Terry's wages (£60k, not the oft quoted £100k), but they're more than covered by the departures of Veretout and Sanchez. Good window for us, strengthened and made a profit, keeping away from the red line of FFP. All good.

We did sign a player called Ming Yang Yang for our under 23 squad though. :err:

He is from, yeah you guessed it, Switzerland.

Surely an instant favourite with a name like that!?

He looks quite good to be fair, a regular for the Swiss under 20's anyway if that means anything.

interestingly people going on abut Wolves, but Fulham have sneaked under the radar?

and ours might look bad but when you add the fact we sold 2 players for 16million we are well within FFP

Imagine Wolves would have paid a few sizeable loan fees which probably don't get included? but yeah, Fulham have been barely mentioned on the spending front. I'd be interested to know what wages Wolves are paying though, I mean why the fuck would Neves choose to go to the English midlands to play in the Championship?

Birmingham must be paying a shit load too, think I read that they've more than tripled Sam Gallagher's wage or something while he's loan. Jota on £40k is the rumour too and they obviously tried to sign John Terry.

Imagine Reading aren't far off this top 5?

Obviously its all undisclosed but I think we've paid; Harrop (compo, £600k), Rudd (£500k), Maguire (£125k), O'Connor (£100k?), Fisher (supposedly free) & Mavididi (can't imagine we've paid a fee due to his age and inexperience) = £1.3m (roughly)

We recieved the second installment of the Garner fee (£900k), £1m compo for Grayson & Snodin and around £500k for May so our net spend should be well into the minuses.

This just shows how much we're massively overachieving in this league.

We failed to sign a player yesterday because we wouldn't meet the 300k asking price.

I'd guess it was more to do with the wages than the transfer fee, I bet Celtic pay a fair whack, even to 21yr olds.

Our net is pretty good (obviously):

In: (Total £5.2m)
Dalsgaard (£500k), Daniels (Free), Maupay (£1.9m), Mokotjo (£1.2m), Watkins (£1.6m)

Out: (£13.5-16.5m)
Jota (£6.5-8.5m), Dean (£2.5-3m), Colin (£2.5-3m), Hofmann (£750k), Gogia (£750k), McCormack (Free), Kerschbaumer (Loan Fee £250k), Bonham (Loan), Onarise (£250k), Field (Loan)

Add in the £10m profit we made in January, and a £2m sell on fee we got from Gray this summer, and we've made not too far off £25m profit in two windows.

If we had a stadium that earned money on non-matchdays, or were willing to go near the losses allowed under FFP (not suggesting we should, but most other clubs are), we'd be absolutely sailing.

Neves is on 40k pw, Costa is probably close to 40k pw too. Jota is on 25k a week. Not sure about the rest but I'd imagine Cavaliero will be on north of 20k per week too.

Thought Neves would be on more than that to be fair.

It's your own fault for bottling the play-offs all the time. You'd have big money if you weren't addicted to bottling.

Pretty sure we won our last final 4-0.

But its true, if we didn't lose so many of them we could become a polished turd like Swansea.

Made a late bid to sign Loic Remy (possible since he is a free agent) but he is expected to join Las Palmas.

Why do people mention net spend? Ffp doesnt work in that manner so surely your net over 3 years is the only thing worth discussing?

We're one of the best teams in the PL you pleb. We hold record TV figures worldwide. Carry on with 400K signings. I would never go back to such shite, what you watch isn't football, proper pub league stuff, keep dreaming.

Depending on the fees, we won't be far off. If quoting the absolute maximum price rumoured:
0.5m - Pelle Clement
3.0m - Jon Dadi Bodvarsson
2.1m - Vito Mannone
1.5m - Modou Barrow
2.5m - Leandro Bacuna
1.0m - Dave Edwards
7.5m - Sone Aluko

17.6m Total

Although Sone Aluko is supposedly "only" 4m upfront, and the fees for Bodvarsson and Bacuna may be lower.

We made about 2.5m from player sales so probably have one of the higher net-spends in the league (at least 10m). Would have been a lot more had we got the striker we wanted.

This will probably be our only big net spend transfer window. We have now got a full squad of 18+ players tied down to 3+ year contracts. This team will stay together unless we receive crazy bids for the players. Only really need to invest in a striker.
