I can't believe there is even a debate about Joe Bryan possibly winning an England call up in the near future.

And I’m sure I’ve missed a couple too.

Would all be above him in the pecking order. He’s got a couple of challengers to “best English LB outside the Prem” too.
Ryan Sessengnon for a start! Our Rico Henry would also have something to say about that.

Fabian Delph has been playing LB for City hasn't he? He's another one that will probably get taken if City carrying on doing well.

There isn't amongst fans, just what Johnson said which wasn't that he was on the verge of the call up. Then MagpieBee started drawing comparisons between Bryan and their left back from League One who's always injured.

The England setup do watch the Championship though, Johnson hinted last season that Abraham would've been called up to the senior side last easter but he got injured the week before at Leeds, then the next squad he was in.

I know! I'm already planning the holiday that I intend to pay for from my bet winnings from a bet in October of Joe Bryan being a part of England's World Cup squad in Russia. I thank the Bristol City fans on here for their guidance.

I haven't said that anywhere they're looking at calling Bryan up soon, merely what Johnson said to the press. However going through your list, all those highlighted will be 30 after the next euros, Southgate has been told he will be manager for the next few competitions, basically 2022 WC at least. All I implied was there could be a chance Southgate keeps tabs of England eligible players who could move to the premier league in January. Tymon has played 6 senior games overall, 1 for Stoke and 5 for Hull... Targett has made 5 appearances for Southampton. So if Southgate is looking to the future, really only Rose, Shaw and Chilwell from your list would be at a big advantage.

If Joe were to move to the premier league in January or the summer and hit the ground running he may not be that far off a call up given Southgate has liked giving younger players a chance and look at Abraham being eligible for Nigeria, Southgate could want to give other players a call up to secure them and Joe is eligible for Scotland too. Our coaching staff also have history of making recommendations, Lloyd Kelly was suggested to the U20's coaches in the summer and now has 5 caps for them. So yeah I'm not saying Joe will be called up or anything but its not ridiculous to think Southgate is keeping an eye on the championship for players who have the potential to step up.

I don't think they do to be honest they'd never call up a championship player or a young prospect unless he's at one of the main clubs, it's not in there nature. Our best young prospect David Brooks who played for England at the Toulon in the summer and got player of the tournament now plays for Wales and can never play for England. Now I'm not saying he is going to be that good but Wales picked him on chance incase he is that good to get him tied to them, why don't we ever do that. I'm sure there are a fair few other examples than Brooks too.

Nugent was the last from this division to get a call up wasn't he?

Never once did I say Bryan should get a call up ffs, I was his biggest critic last season but he's silenced me.

Pretty sure Joe Bryan came from League One too... plenty of great players have come from League One. Also, what’s being injured got to do with being a good player or not?

I was at that game aswell, made a last minute decision after he got called up. It was a brilliant finish aswell from all of 1 yard out.

Yep we just missed it we were on the way back to the boozer. Not sure if it was that game or the other Andorra one in Barcelona where it was 0-0 at half time, 17k English in the ground and the abuse they got was incredible.

To be fair England must be desperate in defence if they invited Dominic Iorfa to train with the seniors.

Cameron Jerome linked with a return to his favourite club. Also keen on bringing back Darren Purse & Jason Koumas to relive the 2005/06 season.

Fucking hell caulker is one of the best cbs I’ve ever seen at Ashton gate... I felt certain that he would end up as an England regular... what the hell happened to his career?

Clearly he’s been shite for a few years now, but so had Liam Moore and he’s regained his form with reading... so on that basis I agree with JJH

Shame about Caulker. Give him a manager who can put an arm round his shoulder and get him back to his best, and you've got a quality player on your hands. Would like to see Wolves take a punt on him but he isn't Portuguese.

A couple of posters on our forum reckon they've been told by Bees fans that we've agreed a deal for Vibe. I would be happy with that. Heard anything Bees fans?
