Keiren Westwood could be allowed to leave, he's moving into his final year under contract but has been since December, arguably one of the best goalkeepers in the division but we are blessed with two cracking young keepers who are pushing him, a decentish fee will do.

Westwood has been fantastic for us and probably the best keeper I've seen in my lifetime, but age is probably catching up with him and his injury problems aren't going to get any better. Dawson and Wildsmith have so much potential that it makes sense, especially if we can recoup a few million back. Only worry is that the two young keepers are still learning and are going to be prone to the odd error.

Dawson looked very good a few weeks ago at Molineux for you... and apparently he's 3rd choice?

Ledson sounds ideal, hard working battler who loves a tackle. Only 20.

Love our current recruitment. Pearson, Ledson, Browne, Maguire, Robinson, Harrop, Barkhuizen, Fisher, Davies & Earl. All 24 and under with loads of potential and resale value.

Ledson signed, 3 year deal. Undisclosed.

Less than what everyone thinks and we went back and restructured the deal with Oxford after he failed his medical.

'Substantial 6 figure fee'

Less than a million seems a bargain.

It's hard to choose between Dawson and Wildsmith, both got massive potential and good shot stoppers, Dawson seems to command his area better but hasn't had anywhere near the same amount of game time as Wildsmith so would be a risk to make him number 1.

Yep, our strength in depth in that department is ridiculous, our u23 "reserve" keeper Dan Wallis has just signed up for another year he is a very good keeper too, just turned 19.

Reckon the next one on our shopping list will be Graham Carey from Plymouth but could face competition on that one.

You would need to loan one of them out, no? You would hinder one of their progress by them not playing.

We have had the same with Lumley and Ingram. Smithies has been so good that neither have played, so we loaned out Lumley and Ingram has (probably) stagnated by being a number 2. We don't have cup runs so barely plays.

Now Lumley has come back from a successful loan spell and has probably overtaken Ingram as our 2nd best keeper. Smithies could be sold this summer and Lumley will be number 1 with Ingram still a number 2, yet 2 years ago had brilliant potential that we have probably wasted.

I keep saying probably as he doesn't play and when he does it is just the odd game which isn't enough to gauge.

Would have Westwood down here, Etheridge could do with some decent competition.

I agree, would probably loan Dawson out for the first half of the season as he's only ever made 8 pro appearances, Wildsmith has more experience at 37 appearances. We'd need to bring in a bench warmer as cover though in that case.

Joe has made 50 career appearances, Cammy has made 15.

Loaning one out is a good plan, sure a league one club would snap our hands off but with Westys injury issues we may not risk it, I'd loan Dawson out to Barnsley or the like, cannot be underestimated what a job Andy Rhodes does as keeper coach, Nicky Weaver is the u23s keeper coach too.

Can't really say Tammy lived up to the hype. Championship is probably his limit.

I think it's wishful thinking on the part of some of our fans TBH. Tammy was superb for us though and was very happy here.
All that said, there's no way we could afford it anyway.
We're being strongly linked with Dean Henderson (on loan at Shrewsbury) from Man Utd, OOC and £1M compensation as he's under 24. That might explain why Steele has left us after 1 season plus Frankie is being linked with his home town club, Blackburn for £600K.
There are a few links surfacing about Shinnie from Aberdeen. With Joe Bryan seemingly on his way to Burnley, that wouldn't be a surprise either.
