It's no secret that when hawking Grabban around last summer and again in January, we'd have preferred to have sold him rather than loaning. Villa almost bought him but decided to make it a loan late in the day (perhaps a good job given their subsequent financial issues?).

He's 30 now and wants to play first choice football (and good on him) and as such needs a Championship move. His contract here expires in 12 months, so his next move will be his last lucrative pay day.

As inflated as the market is for fairly reliable Championship goal scorers, I don't think we're in a position to command huge money. 5m seems fair, if we could get more then great.

He has all the tools Matt but just doesn't deliver, loves running down cul de sacs and wouldn't even contemplate passing the ball to a team mate in a better position.
If he had some humility, he could be very good but, at the mo, he's a total show pony.

The story of selling Afobe to Stoke looks set to be the real deal. Both sides are happy for the deal to go ahead, we would be making a £2m profit on what we signed him for last week. Probably the most random transfer business I've seen from us. Feel for Afobe though.

Maxwell will be off, he's wanted out ever since getting dropped and being fucked about by our goalkeeping coach. Yorkshire bound i've heard.

It's a shame, he's a better keeper than Rudd, would be a good signing for any Championship side and I doubt he would cost a lot.
