We probably won’t see as big increases financially as others. We are a small club, and the new stadium will only be 17.5k, hoping we fill it!

But it should make things a little easier. The operating model is to sell every player we buy though, so I can’t imagine we’ll see much of a change of strategy.

Hearing some of the wages our players have left to: Hogan £40kpw at Villa, Jota £40kpw at Birmingham, we were never going to compete anyway

Not many in this division can compete with those wages MB, we most certainly can't.
Even though our crowds have shot up post rebuild, it's more about the corporate stuff that you don't currently have but we now do. Once you get them, especially being in London, your turnover will rise considerably I would imagine, as well as your attendances going up too.
To give you an example of the difference much better facilities make, we've just averaged our highest average attendance since the 70's and every corporate box is sold out for next season already. That's where the real money is made! I've no doubt you will do the same.

Supposedly signing Michael Crowe from Ipswich, although it has come from Peter O'Rourke...

Maxwell will be off, he's wanted out ever since getting dropped and being fucked about by our goalkeeping coach. Yorkshire bound i've heard.

It's a shame, he's a better keeper than Rudd, would be a good signing for any Championship side and I doubt he would cost a lot.
lol no he’s not

He's not what? Not sure if he is definitely going but he's miles better than Rudd, who is nailed to his line.

Very true. The main objective for the new stadium is not the extra capacity, but the ability to make money from it 360 odd days a year, as opposed to the 23 days we can use it at the moment

Our sell on fee is apparently going to net us all of £3-4k
Every little helps I guess

Christian Walton is coming back on loan once Brighton sign a backup keeper to Ryan (David Button apparently). Might have to wait until after the World Cup to confirm it in case Ryan gets injured, but will be a massive signing for us. Top class keeper.

I’ll take stuck to his line over kamikaze runs out and crisp packet hands tbh.

Chairman going for the shit or bust approach?
Appears so. Not sure I like it but after years of spending nothing, we might as well enjoy the ride.

Hopefully this lad has resale value regardless of what happens

Yeah it is a gamble but worked for Wolves, shame a lot of us are going for it to reach the promised land, there's only 3 spots so there'll be tears for a few eh.

Feels like a good time to do it. Not as many of the usual suspects will be able to spend like they have been

Thing is we don't need to spend a lot, we need a winger and a centre half IF we keep players fit.

How many times has he got it wrong when rushing out? once, twice? I don't remember anything specific. His command of his area is on another level to Rudd and the defence looks miles more assured with him. Quality keeper.

If we had to lose one, I know which one I would pick, probably need a pneumatic drill to dislodge his bollard legs though.

Looks like we're signing Graham Burke for around €300k.

Pretty underwhelmed by this one but I suppose it was the same when signing Barkhuizen and the return of Robinson.

Only looks like Villa are in the shit properly tbh. I imagine Boro will spend again. We'll wheel and deal again, similar to last year maybe. If it has the same outcomes of making a profit and the play offs we'll be happy enough.

Not so sure about this season but this leagues not that hard, we should all be looking at top 6.

That is the exact same thing as us. We need a stadium so we can host music events etc and make money that way. I would love to know how much The Emirates make for other events using their stadium. Obviously we wouldn't make anywhere near that but we should be able to make a decent amount, with the right facilities.

Jack Marriott said to favour a move here. For what he costs I’d prefer Grabban at £5m. We need a couple of strikers but they’re pretty similar and Marriot might have more potential but isn’t proven

So I gather. It was reported that he was heading to BS3 but it appears that you're his preferred destination now.
Ah well.

If it helps I am 99% sure this guy isn’t one of our targets and Barry Fry is playing some games.

It wouldn't be the first time MD.
The fact that fellow professionals have tweeted him wishing him luck at our place makes me think Fry is playing mind games again.

Really good news that, can't play every week but it will be a struggle to replace his quality.

Would be nice to get DJ tied down so the midfield is completely sorted.

First signing of the summer for us, guy called Patrik Gunnarsson, teenage goalkeeper for an undisclosed fee from Breidablik in the Icelandic Premier League.

Goes into our B Team for now

Probably means our England Under 17 keeper Balcombe will go out on loan

Wherever Marriott goes, you've got to give Peterborough - they signed a bang average league two forward with a nondescript record, who was actually struggling for game time. I'm assuming he cost next to nothing, 250k/300k?, and now after one exceptional season they're looking at selling him for around £5-6m.

It would be a risk for anyone signing him.

Cost £450k, 22 in 79 for Luton, most appearances off the bench. Good business from Posh. Bastards.

Trying to sign Callum Connolly from Everton supposedly. Did well at Ipswich.
