3m would definitely be underselling him for me, given the price for good Champ players these days. I like Sawyers, always stands out when I see you guys.

We're looking to pay a decent fee for an experienced striker, plus a Premier league loan according to the LEP.

Also interested in Exeter's Jordan Storey, as well as Callum Connolly.

Graham Burke is supposedly a done deal but not being announced yet.

Yeah definitely feels low to me - but midfielders who don’t score goals don’t tend to go for a lot of money. If you think we sold Hogan for £9m plus add ons, Tarkowski was £5m plus add ons, and both of those players were a lot younger than Sawyers is, £5m plus add ons feels about right.

Plus it’s an area where we have a lot of players anyway, and it’s certainly an easier area to replace than up front.

To be fair, 4 goals and 4 assists in 16 starts for an utterly shite Barnsley team is pretty respectable.

Within our budget, I don't think we're awash with options when it comes to signing a striker.

I'd be happy with him as a Hugill replacement, not optimistic about signing him though, I reckon someone else in this league will be happy to offer him a higher wage.
