I think the Championship will be a level too far for Otzumer, he will get flattened by someone like Tom Huddlestone.
Same, he’s never done well against us and I think it’s because both our two L1 teams he faced were full of big lads who bullied him and gave him no space/time. I’m not surprised he hasn’t had much Championship interest and I’ll be suprised if he can cut it. A good player though no doubt about it.

If there's legs in it I hope we can recoup at least half of what we paid for him.

He won me over in the final few games but I wasn't impressed with his previous 3 months. Ideally we ship him out with one of Martin/Nugent and we can go for a couple of younger options. They are all tiring at this level.

Ezri Konsa has just signed for Brentford.

Come out of the blue that one as he's been linked with both Everton and Brighton for around £4mil in recent transfer windows. A final F-U from our departing owner it seems, accepts the first offer before any bigger boys come in under our new ownership.

He's the latest off our conveyor belt of academy products but in my opinion probably the least impressive from the recent crop, probably why no PL sides made the plunge in the same way they did with Shelvey, Gomez, Lookman, Pope etc.

No doubt he's a decent player though with bundles of potential.

Quite versatile, he's predominantly a CB but we often played him at RB (that's where he's least impressive for me so would try to avoid that) and also CM and DM where he seemed quite comfortable.

All in all, think Brentford have done well here. I doubt they've paid anywhere near his worth and if he develops in the way everyone at Charlton thinks he will/should they could potentially have a very large re-sale value on their hands. Think it's a really good move for him too rather than leaping straight to the PL.

Supposedly £2m fee, add ons can take it to £3.5m (promotion and appearances) and there’s a sell on

Happy with this, had thought he would make a good target, but it’s come completely out of the blue. Looks like our replacement for Bjelland. Another young British player we can hopefully sell on for a big fee in a couple of years time.

Greg Cunningham is off to Cardiff :(

Sounds like we've haggled for a decent fee though.

Oztumer having a medical at the moment apparently, also looking to bring in Stephen Ireland on trial. Had it rough with injuries in recent years, but apparently one of Stoke’s better players at the end of this season.
If he can remain fit, he’s definitely good enough for this division.

Absolutely gutted he’s going.

Supposedly £3.5m but still decent for a left back with a year left to run.

Sad to see him go but he deserves a crack at the Prem and I personally think we will cope. Earl is a good 'un and I think we'll bring in another, more experienced left back. Quality player but a position that can be covered, he only played 20 games last season.

£3.5m is a good fee for a guy with only 12 months left on his deal, but was still expecting it to be a bit higher

He's 27 as well though, a lot of the inflated fees you see are based on potential, plus he's a defender first and foremost.

With a couple of years left to run i'd be expecting around £5m+ but I think the club were happy not to mess him around here.

Joe Bennett is supposedly leaving Cardiff to join Fulham for £2m and I think Huddersfield paid £4m for Scott Malone last summer. So seems the going rate.

Preston North End have completed the signing of Exeter City’s centre half Jordan Storey.

The 20-year-old defender has agreed a four-year deal at Deepdale, joining for an undisclosed fee.

The Yeovil-born player came through the ranks at St James’ Park, breaking into the first team squad earlier this year and retaining his place as the Grecians reached the Play-Off Final at Wembley.

He played in the successful semi-final games against Lincoln City, as well as starting against Coventry City under the arch at Wembley, finishing the campaign with 17 appearances and two goals for the side that was then managed by Paul Tisdale.

Gutted to lose him but he really is quality.

Rumours I’m seeing say the fee was £750k. Any ideas? Would hope for a decent sell on fee too.

Not bad for a lad who only made his full debut in February.

No idea on the fee, no messing around from us though so must really rate him.

Wouldn't hold my breath, you seemed desperate to get shut.

Yeah wouldn't be surprised either, but it's probably 15-20% of profit as it is with the majority of our outgoings.

Benik Afobe officially joins Stoke in what is probably the strangest transfer I've ever seen.

Think you had a purchase on promotion clause, then just made a profit. Nice work

I think so too, although the club was very specific in saying that there was no obligation to buy him in Jan. Like you say it's a nice profit on a player most of us weren't convinced by. He should score 15-20 down here for Stoke so it's a decent move for all concerned.

Think the weirdest ever was when we signed Richard Wright, he left after a few days saying he was homesick from Ipswich and then 2 days later signed for Man City.

Bennett's not going anywhere according to reports down here, Cunningham coming in to give him some much needed competition. When Warnock said he wanted to emulate Burnley I didn't think he meant build a championship squad to get back up the following season.

Cunningham won't struggle in the Prem.

The irony is Tony Xia didn't want to sell Bennett to a promotion rival, gifted him to Cardiff.....

No wonder they are fucked.

Greg Cunningham has agreed to join Premier League newcomers Cardiff City on a permanent transfer.

The 27-year-old left back joins the Bluebirds for an undisclosed fee.

The Irish international joined the Lilywhites in the summer of 2015 on a free transfer from Bristol City, going on to be player of the year in his first season at Deepdale, eventually making over 100 appearances, scoring four goals.

Greg was entering his final year of his contract with the Lilywhites, but despite the best efforts of the club, he did not want to sign a new deal and with the opportunity to play top tier football, this move is in the best interest of all parties.

Having captained the side last season, in the absence of Tom Clarke, the former PNE No.3 was a popular figure in the dressing room and on the terraces and leaves with the best wishes of everyone at Deepdale.

:sad::sad::sad::sad:

Take me with you Greg

Jerome won't be coming to us but we tried for him.

Imagine it came down to wages.

Keiffer Moore looks more likely.
