Doubt we’ll be in for him unless Canos or Watkins leave - even then we’d rather do a permanent deal for someone else
Was Canos the last player we signed on loan? Think that was three years ago, and we went for him because he wanted out at the end of the season at Liverpool.

Yeah I suppose if you overlook the two relegations in 5 years, dodgy dealings with agents, over £100m of debt and lack of spending for years then "splashing out" a couple of million quid on a player is alright. Though given that Armstrong picked us over you I'm not surprised you're a tad bitter about it.

The Venky's pay bigger wages than Hemmings does, so go figure.

They subsidise season tickets every year, give Blackburn a good wage budget and are clearly backing Mowbray.

Relegations happen, bad appointments happen, fans of other clubs don't cry their eyes out about it.

It's pretty obvious Blackburn fans just talk complete shit, they're probably some of the best owners in the division currently.

We almost get Novak last year on loan, but that was more because we were running out of time, than wanting a loan. So yeah Canos was the last one.

Shame we didn’t get Novak he’s been brilliant since

This Nash is definitely doubling up as Graham’s agent to try and get us to hurry up. He must be fuming at waiting for us for so long now.

I don't think we were actually ever in for him on loan - was mostly journalists putting an early transfer interest in him back in the news. Although, you're right, he looks to have done very well since.

Nah we were - it was on deadline day and only didn’t go through because the paperwork wasn’t done in time - missed by a minute or so or something.

At least IIRC

Ah yes, very good point. Although a slightly different situation as he would have been arriving from our sister club - so not too comparable with a general loan. I think it was the Kaikai issue that was the final nail in the coffin for our loan transfer dealings - told by CP that he'd be staying with us for the rest of the season, and then cancelling the loan shortly before the window ended. Which would mean that Kaikai was our most recent loanee and not Canos! :bang:

Apparantly we've bid £4m for Luke Freeman. He any good?

Yes he is good. Very skillful and works very hard for the team. Think he created the 3rd amount of chances last year, something along those lines. Just a shame Washington was the one on the end of them and couldn't finish.

He hogs the ball though, doesn't release it fast enough at times but a very good player in my opinion.

Our owners have said that we are not selling him though, so that bid has (should) been rejected.

No as he left city for 300k

Only because he refused to play and his contract was up in 6 months.

First out of the day, Jamie Hanson has signed for Oxford United permanently. Never quite got his career going here, I imagine he’ll float around L1 when he gets a good couple of seasons in him.

Supposedly enquired about Nmecha from Man City on loan but can't compete with other interested sides. I'm not confident of us landing anyone remotely decent today.

Burn off to Brighton for 3.5 million. Biggest bargain of the window. Absolute shambles from us! That’s what happens when you let contracts run down.

Imagine Nmecha will wait a few games and decide on whichever team looks most capable of supplying him.

Never heard of him before today if i'm being honest but seems very highly rated.

Think I saw Villa were interested so probably his likely destination.

Wow just seen Kayden Jackson has gone to Ipswich for over 1.5M?! Nice to see Hurst operating Grimsby Town v3.0 Championship Expansion Pack this season.

Could rise to £2M if reports are to be believed. Quite funny considering some Ipwsich fans were banging on about having our pants down for Kieffer Moore at £750k.

Looks like we're managing to offload Ayew & Clucas. MagpieBee
Woods deal’ll be on then - think he’ll do well in your team.

Shame to see him go but our squad is still stronger than last season at least

Forgot about Kaikai.

Loans can be great, but the big teams just ask for too much money on them these days. Not worth it.

Rumours building up about this guy again, would be happy if we can get it done.

Jay DaSilva decent
Bobbin'?

Gave me a heart attack when I see you had tagged me in this thread.

‘Fuck sake. Who we selling now!?’

Dasilva is mustard mate. Don’t be fooled by his stature. Very competent full back and quick. He won player of the season last year.

Good career ahead of him, definitely.

Apologies. Yeah I did see he's 5'7 which is a bit of a concern but I'd be happy with him if there's a view to permanent at the end of the loan. Decent replacement for Bryan it seems, cheers.

That’s not so bad - we only got £2m for Dean last summer, and only £6m for Jota. £3.5m for a player of Burn’s quality when in his last 12 months is a pretty good price.

Supposedly coming here instead of Villa, Leeds & Swansea.

More than happy to be City's little bitch club.

Swings and roundabouts. Rangers laughing that we paid them £250k for Waghorn.

How tall do you really need to be as a full back? He’s good one on one and he’s quick, the way I see it is if teams try to play it over his head, chances are he’s going to beat you in a foot race to the ball anyway.
