Ahh balls, Elphick going to Hull.

http://www.skysports.com/football/n...my-elphick-to-have-hull-medical-ahead-of-loan

Max Lowe has signed a new 3 year deal and joined Aberdeen on loan until January. Should be a good move for him.

QPR asked about Huddlestone and Thorne apparently.

Either of them good enough for this league? Thorne was brilliant but got injured, so not sure if he is the same player? And Huddlestone I have no idea about these days, he must be getting on a bit. Sort of player we need though, we are too lightweight in midfield with an average height of about 5ft5.

Couple of rumours our side, apparently we want Sulley Kaikai or Edward Nketiah on loan, both with a view to a permanent deal.

I can’t see why we would want Kaikai again, he was pretty poor in his previous spell with us, hasn’t done much since, and we’ve got plenty of wingers. Would love the Nketiah deal to be true, but Arsenal fans think he’s got a good future and don’t want him to go so there’s probably nothing in that either.

Huddlestone's quality, I seriously hope we won't be letting him go. Especially now Joe Ledley seems to have lost the ability to play football.

Thorne's been off it for a few years but hasn't had a run of games. He needs 6 months or a year away playing football, no point in him staying here as it looks like FL doesn't fancy him. If he can get back to anything close to his previous levels he'll be a top signing for anyone. Big if though.

I don't think there's anything in the Nketiah one, certainly not as a loan to buy - he's one of their highest rated youngster who they're hopeful of not even loaning out, let alone selling!

We have released Connor Washington. Surprised by this. His contract was up but I thought we could loan him out but I guess he wasn't going to play, and by us releasing him means he can get a contract.

Good luck to him, but not good enough for Championship football.

I take it today is the loan deadline? We could go a whole summer without any signings...

Looks like we're signing him.

He'll probably score loads now. But from my point of view, he isn't good enough. He will work hard but he has no confidence in 1 on 1s and most of his shooting is straight at the goalkeeper.

If he scores loads, then surely he is good enough?

In my original post I said that he isn't good enough which is why I said he will probably score loads now. Got 14 goals in nearly 100 appearances so wasn't prolific for us and it will be typical that he goes on to be prolific now we spunked 2.5 million on him and then released him.

Looks like we aren't getting Huddlestone. We have signed Cameron from Stoke.

Holding midfielder we wanted/needed. Hopefully he is still decent. Older players coming seem to do well at QPR, probably due to the smaller pitch. Dunne, Derry, Hill, Neilson are 4 people I can think of instantly that have been brilliant for us so hopefully this is another one.

Interested to hear Stoke fan views though.

Saville having a medical at Boro. Conflicting reports about whether Leonard will sign — one journo intimating that it’s a done deal, while Alan Nixon reckons we think Sheff Utd have him overvalued and we will now move onto a Prem loan target (thought to be Leicester’s Andy King).

King could be a great signing at this level - and would provide a decent goal threat to replace Saville.

Would imagine the loan fee would be pretty big though.

King for Saville is like for like imo and on paper a better signing than I would have hoped for. Does make you wonder why other clubs at this level aren’t in for him though.

We’re also targeting a mystery third(?) player who the forum ITKs won’t name but seem to be excited about. Not sure if that’s King or someone else, but you’re getting those sort of cryptic comments about ‘how happy the fans will be if this comes off’, etc. IMO the anticipation is generally more enthralling than the actual climax for these kind of forum rumours, but it at least keeps deadline day interesting.

O'kane gone to Luton on loan until January and Anita has joined Willem II on loan for the season, 2 wages off our books for a while, neither would have made a game for us this season, not even during the league cup did either make the bench, I think O'kane would be a good signing for a league 1 team though

I always thought he was quite highly rated but looked lethargic/lazy whenever I saw him play for Villa. Did score at AG though in fairness.
