Indirectly owned by Steve Lansdown Southey. He owns various different companies which are all part of Bristol sport but he owns all of it essentially.
So like Chansiri, the only difference is it was part of the club assets hence us being able to use it.

That's how I believe it to be Southey. As JJH says the number of companies under the Bristol sport umbrella is quite confusing although SL sits at the head of all of them AFAIK.

You don't rate Bannan do you? So is 8 figures for a 29 year old a fair price?

I'd say it's the way you went about it that's fucked you over, signing players like Abdi, Rhodes etc where there's not really resale value. We're not shy of chucking about a bit of coin like yourselves but generally it's not pissing money up the wall it's putting it into players who we can eventually sell on further if needs must.

The situation remains bleak for as long as Wednesday are outside the top flight and your financial situation isn't really helping your cause, but to answer your question I believe Lansdown owns it but under what company name I have no idea. The setup is quite confusing.

Absolutely, Chansiri got took for a ride when he took over with his naivety and we are seeing the effects of it. This will continue for a while, we need to shift off some more players and go down the route you have with the likes of Brownhill etc.

Aye Bannan is 29 but given prices for players now we should still hold for a good whack, Reach is the one we should flog, right age etc

The club don't own the stadium per accounts and the figures on there are frightening for any other business barring football, 60m in the red on the balance sheet or whatever, a profit and loss account sat at £118m loss historically.

£10m is probably fair value for him, that said we do over value the rest of em, the chairman needs to understand football teams need to wheel and deal.

As for being fucked, no thats the likes of Bury, being punished for trying to compete with teams rewarded for failure who drive the market up is different. Financially as a club we remain secure, Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday both are beholden to their owners, do City own their stadium or is it Landsdown?
I’m not sure it could be described as secure if you’re having to sell the stadium to balance the books - that’s a strategy that only works once! You’ll have to cut costs by the time the next couple or years are up and the stadium no longer counts in the FFP calculations.

If you were to sell Forestieri and Reach you'd get close to £30m for the pair if not more I would think, it's shit as a fan to come to terms with because in the short term it sets you back but if you've got a recruitment team you trust to replace players you lose then you just get on with it like Brentford fans do.

Since finding Webster after Flint I've full trust in the club as they've replaced all of the players we've ever lost and turned a really healthy profit.

I still fancy Wednesday to be in or around the top six as long as you don't go down a completely different route to Bruce, very good squad on paper with possibly Hector to come and no doubt a few other smart loanees later in the window.

It is secure as in we aren't fucked by not being able to pay wages etc the owner has the wealth so potentially the only issue will be FFP and points deductions but I'm certain we began the cost cutting last year so perhaps we've learned. Also FFP could be challenged at some point as currently they aren't fit for purpose.

1FF in final year fella, will be worth next to nowt. Reach can go for me to ease FFP, heard Winnall and Rhodes off so should help again.

Sad as fuck that what you tried typing changes to 1FF isn't it, TB is a child.

Reid went for 10m with one year left mate I think you could get at least that, are contract talks not underway with him?

Rhodes Norwich presumably? Barnsley for Winnall? Both good players but never really seen the best of them at Wednesday, will be an ease on the wage bill though.

Rhodes to Norwich, dunno re Winnall just been told we want rid. The Joao fee was 7m but told we would accept lower.

Re Forestieri (fuck off TB) not sure fella, the off the field issues plus likely 5 match ban means we may cut our losses

Forestieri's still my favourite player to watch in this division, best in the league on his day.

And we used to moan at the likes of Crawley, Fleetwood and Mansfield buying up the Conference...

I'd actually like to see Rhodes given another chance, I think once we start actually crossing the ball he will score, then again it's more me wanting him to do well than any sense to it. He's looked sharp this pre season. I'd sell Winnall for sure, doesn't really offer us anything we haven't already got and when we signed him from Barnsley I'm sure we trebled his wages, plus he only cost half a mill so should turn a profit.

I’d be interested to know just how much money Chansiri has lost since taking over Sheff Wed. Must be an absolutely eye watering figure, and all for nothing. Still in the Championship and getting abused by his own fans. Remember seeing a vid of him getting rounded on after we did them on opening day last year.

We’ve made a bid of £4.9m for Bryan Mbeumo, 19 forward from Troyes in L2 in France. Trying to get a deal done but there’s interest from Marseille and Southampton.

Someone on our site reckons we were offered winnall but he turned us down as we wouldn’t match his (25k a week) wages.

And who can blame him? He's not getting that kind of money anywhere else so he'll run his contract down. The only possible way he's coming back to Oakwell is on loan with Wednesday paying most of his wages and even then it wouldn't be popular among our fans.

Nketiah's just scored the winner against Bayern Munich in a friendly.

Some coup this if we do pull it off, a few journalists have written this week saying he shouldn't be loaned out.

Interested in Brandon Barker again but won't meet City's current asking price due to his injury problems.

Talented yes, but the guy's hamstrings are fucked.

Chansiri is actually popular amongst the fans, and this Steve Bruce situation has only made it stronger, he's learning from his mistakes and that's all you can ask. No one can question the blokes commitment to the club.

Not sure about this Chaplin kid. Didn’t pull any trees up last season in league one.
