Angus MacDonald signed on a 2 year deal, I remember him playing very well for Barnsley against us about 4 or 5 years ago.
Any comments from Hull City fans?

Played very little in the last couple of years, but now in remission from bowel cancer.

I had bowel cancer myself 20 years ago and thankfully I was lucky enough to fully recover.
If it's caught early it is one of the more treatable cancers and hopefully he will return to full fitness.

He played in the last 5 games of the season for Hull and did 45 minutes in a friendly yesterday so he must be well on the road to recovery.
Let's hope he can get back to his best form and have a good career.

I'd be very happy with Macauley Bonne but seems our interest might be minimal.

Conor Ripley looks like he might be fucking off to Salford on loan, amazingly shite.

Paul Gallagher given another year, Maguire extended by two, Ben Davies looks like he might be extending as well, plus Alan Browne.

Seems like we're getting some more movement again. Jamal Lewis is looking likely to be heading to Leicester, and we're apparently about to sign Spanish left back Xavi Quintilla from Villareal on a season-long loan with an option to make it permanent should we be promoted again.

We're also apparently looking to loan out McCallum again, after signing him in January and letting him remain on loan at Coventry for the second half of last season.

EDIT: And another likely incoming. We've apparently beaten Reading to the season-long loan signing of Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp, a deal which throws yet more speculation at the futures of our existing midfielders.

Wycombes first signing as a Championship club is Uche Ikpeazu who If I remember is the massive bloke who used to play for Cambridge.

An Akinfenwa replacement/stand in and looks like they will be fully committing to there style at this level.

Few rumours about that Izzy Brown might make a return. Fantastic ability of that there is no doubt, felt last season he was a bit of a luxury at times especially in games where we had a limited amount of the ball but if we are to make the next step he’s the type of player you want to build around. Probably be expensive though so remains to be seen if that is true. If it came down to us pushing the boat out for CCV or Brown I’d choose CCV probably.

Also linked with an ex Man Utd left back called Demetri Mitchell who has been on trial at Sunderland of late. Do think we need both a right and left back but we have been linked with quite a few and none have come to anything.

Wouldn't be surprised if we took him back if he's available again, although we have already loaned in Ryan Giles to play LWB this season having had him for the back end of last season. Well, I say had him, he played 12 minutes as Robins didn't want to change up a settled defence.

I think Izzy is going into the last year of his £25k a week contract at Chelsea. It’s amazing how such average players can pick up so much cash. He really can’t afford to be sitting on the sidelines, but if we’re only going to be paying a quarter of that, I’m sure there are bigger sides who can afford more of an outlay

He really does split the fan base - I think he’s terrific, but he needs to up the work rate at times. I heard someone on a train after the Brentford debacle that he took the “easy option” by “getting himself injured”. What a crock of shite.

I agree I’d rather pay a significant amount on a centre half akin to CCV, as that was the reason why we were struggling against relegation in the first place.

I like the fact we seem to be targeting players with some sort of resale value though. That is the only way at the moment that is going to propel us up the table, by making big cash on player sales and sell on clauses.

After confirming the Skipp signing yesterday, we've let two players go out on loan today: Louis Thompson to MK Dons and Philip Heise to Karlsruhe SC. Neither will be missed and both will presumably leave permanently after these loans.

The loan signing of Quintilla has also now been confirmed, with an obligation to buy - activated upon promotion, should we achieve that - for an apparent £2.7 million. That's already our ninth signing of the summer.

Apparently we're now in talks to sign Jordan Hugill from West Ham, with a suggested fee of £5 million. What's he like, Preston and QPR fans?

EDIT: Some sources saying the fee will be closer to £2.5 million in reality, potentially rising to £5 million with add-ons. The primary source saying this is also saying that Jacob Murphy will sign for Notts Forest tomorrow, so we'll soon see how trustworthy it is.

It's unbelievable some of the transfer fees banded about at the moment. People may have scoffed at some of the numbers we would've let our own players go for, but the market is getting crazier.

Right now I'm not getting rid of any of our first teamers for less than £1m.

I saw Ben White who can't get in Brighton's team quoted for £50m which is absolutely mental.

Christ, I forgot he joined West Ham. He was a Moyes signing originally, wasn't he? Maybe Moyes acknowledges he made a mistake now, though he was never given much of a chance.

He's decent in the Championship though, 15 goals for QPR last year isn't a bad record for a mid-table side.

Very strong, good pace and likes a battle. Good shithouse merchant too.
Technically pretty limited and not what you would call a clinical finisher but he'll always get chances and occasionally pull a wonder hit out of the bag.

Worth 10-15 goals a season at this level if he plays week in, week out and any attacking midfielders will enjoy the space he creates.

We signed him for £25k, polished him up over a few seasons and sold him for £10m.

Still quiet at Deepdale.

Doesn't seem to be much in the Macauley Bonne rumours, half-hearted links to a loan move for Davis at Villa and an agent story about a guy at Walsall, Josh Gordon.

Rumours of one Caleb Richards of Norwich training with us. Left back who spent 2019 on loan with Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Supposedly Leicester want to sign Ben Davies if they can't land their first choice target.

Rumoured that we're close to signing Callum Johnson from Accrington, long term target, would require compensation as they offered him a deal.

23yr old right back, who can play a few positions, ex-Middlesbrough.

Suggests Darnell Fisher is refusing to extend his contract, this is a sad day.

Saw he was out of contract when I was trying to find some information about Clark. He was one I thought we might go for.
Position of real need for us and a fairly highly rated younger player available at a tribunal price - thought we should have been all over that personally. Always thought he looked useful when we played them.

According to the ITK lot, our main striker target wants to come but would require us to break our transfer record.
I think it's Woodrow at Barnsley, another guy we've looked at in the past, would be happy with him.

Looks likely Sheffield Wednesday will sign Izzy Brown tomorrow on loan from Chelsea. He must enjoy relegation battles...

Did think it would be a bit of a stretch for us to see him come back, Sheffield Wednesday is a bit of a surprise though given the points deduction. Thought he could have got a club challenging for playoffs this season. A good player but not sure he is the right player for our situation - good luck to him though and hope that all talent he has comes together

Must admit I’m getting a little bit nervous about our lack of incomings since Clark so far, thought we would be a lot more active as to my mind we have a lot of gaps that need filling especially in the back 4.

We are not in a bad position - bar Norwich, no one has really gone balls out so far when it comes to signings.

Just signed 23 yr old Wes Harding, a right back from Birmingham on a 3 year deal.
Played over 50 times in the Championship, so I assume must be half decent?
