Omar Richards signs for Bayern Munich from Reading.

Really impressed by him whenever i've seen him but didn't expect a move like that.
Its weird how ive always perceived over the years that German League football tend to pick mostly Germanic Northern/Eastern European type players as their preferred imports. Players they maybe figure will settle and fit the culture and way of life quickly. Suddendly a raft of young English talent is being cherry picked........ and doing extrememly well.

What a move for the lad. Good luck to him.

Never really heard of him but he’s played all through the league 1 winning season as a starting centre half.

Available on a free - seems like good business for us if true

Retained list finally got released.

Released: LuaLua, Moncur, Isted, Galloway.

Offered new contracts: Martin Cranie, Ryan Tunnicliffe, Pelly Ruddock.

Lee, Kioso and Osho returned from loan. Would have thought Lee would be available.

Surprised Cranie got offered a new deal really. At right back Kioso will surely come in and compete and centre half we are looking to recruit someone younger there. Tunnicliffe is an ok squad player to ha e around but really hoping Pelly signs on.

Moncur should be getting a top end league 1 side looking at him.

I think it's a bit surprising that we have chosen to keep both Cranie and Tunnicliffe (subject to them accepting it of course), although the latter did have a half decent second half of the season and Cranie can play in multiple positions and has a lot more experience than some others. I suspect it is only a one year extension. It doesn't leave us with a lot of wiggle room in midfield. I wouldn't buy the argument that there isn't anyone better to replace him as we will never have better value free transfers as we are this summer.

With Luton also trying to sign Burke, it may lead us to be playing 3 at the back next season; although with the amount of full backs we also have now, that argument also doesn't completely make sense. I assume we're also going back to 7 subs only.

Current squad [plus expected transfers / contract offers]. Jones and Sweet have been very bullish about next season already from what I've seen.

Goalkeepers: Sluga, Shea
Defenders: Bree, Potts, Bradley, [Burke], Lockyer, Kioso, Naismith, Cranie, Osho
Midfielders: [Tunnicliffe], [Berry], Morrell, Rea, [Mpanzu], Clark
Forwards: Cornick, Adebayo, Onyedinma, Lee, Hylton, Pereira
Development: Horlick, Jones, Francis-Clarke, Beckwith, Addy, Peck, Panter, Pettit, Nicolson, Neufville, Lucas, McJannet

Yep seems like he is, it’s been unclear since he signed if it was a 1 year with an option or 2 years. Given he isn’t even mentioned there you’d assume he is in contract.

Joe Morrell gave an interesting interview I’ve just read from the Wales camp as they prepare for the euros, says he’s left the “situation” meaning lack of play time, with his “representatives” to “sort out” over the summer.

Seems pretty obvious that he’s asked his agent to look for a move for him

Not sure I can really blame him.

Yeah me either, hes fortunate this season hasnt messed with him playing for Wales too much seemingly.

Its not worked out, not sure its a him problem, its just he doesnt really fit with how we played last season. It still might but the relationship with Jones may very well have soured.

Doesn't look like we'll be signing Luke O'Nien.

We need a proven Championship RB to replace Fisher, Nyambe hopefully still an option.

Seems like Daniel Iversen coming back is close to being agreed, although he'll spend pre-season with Leicester.

Massive that, he'll definitely play Premier League football.

VDB is more doubtful, Liverpool want him to play CB regularly, whereas we see him more as a utility player, other clubs sniffing. Would be a shame but Iversen is the priority.

I can see him Pompey bound although we may ask the question but imagine you'll want the fee recouped which will count us out. Really surprised he hasn't featured. He was excellent in his season here and thought he'd slot in well at Luton.

Ive seen Ipswich rumoured, but that might be because sky mistakenly labelled him as their player a few days ago than anything concrete!

He got given a couple of starts but i think he only made 5 or so total and got hooked at half time in 2 of those, mainly because he was just getting absolutely abused physically and his pressing was all over the place (going when he shouldnt leaving huge gaps being his main issue), which you are looking to break into the side isnt a great sign.

Reece Burke confirmed. The John Still influence lives on as we sign another ex West Ham youth player! Think that’s the Pearson replacement which to me seems good business if so.

Huddersfield continue to make some strange moves, have signed Ollie Turton on a free now.

Not saying he is a bad player (and our new Blackpool resident can perhaps chip in on that) but a club still with parachute money signing a 28 year old fullback who hasnt played at the level before, or really seemingly been anything more than a steady eddy from a newly promoted side alongside a back up centre half from us, and MK Dons back up keeper feels a bit weird to me.

Yeah, fucking hell, Hudds fans can't be happy.

Fair play to him though, obviously couldn't wait to get out of that bog of a club.

He was mediocre in League Two for us and a key part of our worst era for 30 years. Nice lad mind but God knows what managers see in him.

Izzy Browne released by Chelsea
Hmmm...wonder if he’d come back?
Was very good at times..
Could be more reliable if he was full time
