Dont think im quite as bullish as this, maybe because im not factoring in KDH coming back which still to me seems like a bit of a pipe dream and there remains a Pelly shaped hole in there too. Remains to be seen what happens with Morrell.

Feel like we could do with another wide player in the mix, we have Clark, Cornick, Onyedinma think another in there would be useful.

Defence looking really strong though like you say. Probably a few need to go out the door now, still have Lee and Hylton who really need to find clubs.

I think Jones knows this - he said the other day we're likely to still add. Jones isn't exactly someone who is frugal with squad numbers. He will use the 25 man squad limit in it's entirety...

1. James Shea
2. James Bree
3. Dan Potts
4. Henri Lansbury
5. Sonny Bradley
6. Reece Burke
7. Harry Cornick
8. Luke Berry
9. Elijah Adebayo
10. Fred Onyedinma
11. Alan Campbell
12. Simon Sluga
13. Tom Lockyer
14. Glen Rea
15. [Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu]
16. Jordan Clark
17. Cameron Jerome
18. Peter Kioso
19. Amari'i Bell
20. Kal Naismith
21. Joe Morrell
22. Dion Pereira
23. Gabriel Osho
24. Carlos Mendes-Gomes
25. [Martin Cranie]
[26. Elliot Lee]
[27. Ryan Tunnicliffe]
[28. Danny Hylton]

Under 21 and not in the 25-man squad:
Avan Jones, Sam Beckwith, TQ Addy, Jake Peck, [Corey Panter], Josh Neufville, Casey Pettit, Callum Nicolson, Tra Lucas, Aidan Francis-Clarke, Ed McJannet

Edit: And a 7th signing coming in at midday.

Linked to Jonny Ngandu, young midfielder from Coventry and captain of their U23s. Any Cov fans got any opinion on him?

Another signing being announced at 11:45 apparently. Its another of the transfer club ones, so one that we will have paid a fee for.

At a guess, I'd say its Mendez-Gomez.

Edit: He tweeted his goodbyes on Instagram about 30 minutes ago.

If it is then thats the extra wide player in the mix i mentioned earlier! If it is then surely we arent shelling out the reputed 500k for him that was mentioned earlier in the week? Would expect us to have to be generous with the add ons.

Would be an exciting one IMO, exactly the sort of player we should be looking to develop for a few seasons and try and flip for money to re-invest.

Lets hope Pelly sees and wants part of this. Wouldnt begrudge him doubling his salary at one of the larger Championship Clubs tho.

I said before KDH should be looking to push himself and play higher and see if he can make a very top end career for himself. He shouldnt look to play in this league next season. A loan at a promoted or lower Prem side or if he realisically can break into Leicester first team squad, which is doubtful as prob needs a challenging season elsewhere.

Which leaves us needing at least one box to box and one creative mids.

6th signing so far is Amari’i Bell on a free from Blackburn. Left back which in my view has been a position of need pretty much since JJ left so good to get one in.

27 so decent age reaching what you’d hope are peak years.

Do have to say though with the talk about squad age I thought we might be looking in that 20-23 age bracket and think only Campbell really falls into that category.

Don't know if many Luton fans remember but Amari'i Bell scored the first goal for us against Cambridge in the game that sent you up from the conference.

I didn’t realise but the club has since tweeted about it. Signed one day and already a legend ha!

Some rumours that we are looking at getting Jack Marriott back for a second spell here. Since leaving Peterborough it’s not really worked out for him bar having the odd bright moment in his first season at Derby. Some rumours his work ethic isn’t the best either but he has been at some poorly run clubs under poor managers during that time.

I wouldn’t mind it, different type striker to what we have. I liked him first time around even though I think Jones struggled to get the best of him in his first spell. He’s a different manager now though and Marriott perhaps a different player.

Olosunde signs, seems perfect for the wing back role, only 23. Good signing on paper.

Peterboro have signed Jorge Grant... interesting. Seems to have improved as a player since he was a Forest player. Curious to see if he can step up - I am doubtful.

I really liked him when he was here, just he was unfortunate we had a bloody good side at the time that he couldn’t quite force himself into as a regular.

Technically he certainly has the ability, if he’s a bit more physically imposing now I can see him making the step up well

Mowatt following Ismael to West Brom. Obviously disappointed but hopefully Kane will step up, I mean we paid a decent fee for him so it’s time he did.

No compo paid for Olosunde as Rotherham offered him worse terms than his contract in the Championship.

He had excellent stats in League 1, but we played Lincoln three times and each time we had a couple of better midfield players

Marriott signed for Peterborough in the end, so goes back to where he had the best season of his career. 3 year deal so they are backing him.

Yeah he seemed to pick up a reputation as a bad trainer and the like whilst at Derby. He wasn’t really a favourite under 3 separate managers there so maybe something to it. Didn’t seem to be an issue here or Peterborough though.

I remember many an occasion down ronnells nightclub in Luton town centre seeing Tony grealish,Brian Horton and a few other players getting pissed regularly on a Saturday night…
There was often a cordoned off area for Luton players…
Then there was the hatters club and the flying club…all available for early morning drinks and grab a granny or two…
Ahem…so I was told…

Forgetting the Flying Club at the airport. Fun spot but oh dear. Salubrious.
