We have too many players. Lee and Hylton being the obvious candidate - but Lee last night looked like he really wanted to get his place back. Osho maybe the other one going out the door and maybe Pereira on long term loans.

So Luton want one more (not Leshabela) to complete the squad. I don't think the Leicester trialist will join up; I'm not sure he's quite at the level we need, but would be a good signing for a top end L1 side I'd say.

All will become clear this week it seems with Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu. I really don't know what he (and his agent) are playing at... it's now 18 July; a decision needs to be made. I just hope for his sake, he's been doing pre-season behind the scenes with someone, as the bulk of the work is now done and he'll be behind everyone else. Our squad would've been back 4 weeks this coming Thursday.

If he's talking to a team in Turkey, I'd assume that means his offers haven't been as forthcoming as he expected.

I get it, hes trying to squeeze the best deal possible from wherever he goes but the missed time in pre-season could be an issue for him so I hope his agent hasnt intentionally overlooked that.

Pre-season is really important for him in particular, before NJ came in and brought the club up to speed with sport scientists and the like he was a bit of a sick note and picked up a lot of muscle injuries. You worry this missed time will impact him during the season.

Looks like he's heading to Middlesbrough - he and Marcus Browne are living it up on Instagram.

I think that that Pelly has had his ego and expectations raised to silly levels by his 'becoming an international', and his agent is possibly stoking this up, and hawking him around.

DR Congo for crying out loud - get real.

My opinion fwiw - he was offered a contract in April according to NJ, if he is still messing around then forget him, that's not the attitude we need.

Pleased with that although my reservations about pre season with him remain. Gives us the bit of balance of ball players to ball carriers/box to box types we needed in that central midfield area.

Think people are being a bit overly harsh on him taking his time to sign, he was away with DR Congo for a while (which I would imagine would be something of an experience in its own right!) so probably wanted a bit of a summer break and he wanted to see what the market would give him. Maybe went on a week to long but it’s fair enough if you ask me. Happy to have him back in the fold

Sounds like we’re signing Ian Maatsen on loan from Chelsea. Was at Charlton last season.

We have a player called Reece Hutchinson on trial, left back last at Burton Albion last season.

Bit weird as we already have 3 players who can play left back. I’d guess he is here for numbers purposes as Bell has been away with Jamaica.

Was on trial with us (Rochdale) and played a couple of friendlies. Pretty good going forward, a bit weak defensively in a back four (think he played wing back for Burton). Not as good as Gabriel Osho, so seems a weird one for you lot!

Am guessing we just want another left footer around the place whilst Bell is away with Jamaica. Don’t think it’s a reflection on Osho. I’d like to see him be around the place this season I think given the good reviews he got with you.

We might be sending Tom Bayliss out on loan.

We need another CM bringing in if that's the case.

Harry Isted who has been our 3rd keeper for 5 years has signed on for another year. He is 24 now so am a little surprised he hasn’t gone and tried to get a number 1 jersey somewhere. When I’ve seen him (probably seen him more for Wealdstone than us though!) he’s looked more than good enough to compete to be a starting keeper somewhere.

You’d expect maybe we are looking to get him a loan with a recall option for us but not sure anyone in the FL will go for that. So probably another loan to the National League on the cards

It won't be with us this time. I'm glad Harry's got a new deal at Luton - he has all the fundamentals necessary to be starting at a decent level as he commands his goal well, is a superb shot stopper and confidently claims crosses. His decision making though was an issue towards the end of his second spell with us (including some serious errors of judgment in games vs. Solihull and Woking). Iron those out and even if he doesn't get the number 1 shirt with Luton, he would be more than good enough to start for a Football League side.

Kompany interested in loaning Liam Delap for Anderlecht now.

He's also out of tonight's squad in our friendly as he has to isolate.

Suppose it depends on whether the player wants to stay locally and whether Guardiola wants him to train with them now and then.

Hopefully Pep was happy with the way we managed Nmecha.

At least another 5 Championship clubs and City's ex captain interested now though, hope we have a backup plan.

Linked to Keinan Davis on loan again, although reports say Stoke are favourites.

Signed Obbi Oularé from Standard Liège, was with Watford a bit back. Don’t know much about him but apparently we wanted him before brining in Dike last winter.

Conor Chaplin looks set for Ipswich too, strange one for me. He’s a squad player but he’s mostly performed well when called on and has a decent goal return at this level considering his game time. Be a good signing for Ipswich.

He was well rated prior to his move to Watford if I recall. He’s never had a good goal record though but he’s a reasonable facsimile of Dike - meaning he’s pretty huge.

We've sent Luxembourg international Danel Sinani out on loan to Huddersfield Town for the season, with them having the option to sign him on a permanent transfer next summer.

As far as I understand, we signed him last summer under the assumption that we'd lose Buendia and/or Cantwell, but as that didn't happen he never got a look in and ended up on loan in Belgium. Whether this one works out or not, I never expect to see him in the yellow and green again.

Lots of Prem teams keeping tabs on our 2nd year scholar, Lewis Leigh.

Looked very good for a 17yr old during pre-season, put some of the senior players to shame.

Hope we can get him on a pro deal but feel like we'll get shafted.
