West Brom loaning Jordan Hugill, linking up with Callum Robinson again.

If they're going for Pulis ball and want a hold up striker then it's probably a sensible move.

Bayliss to Wigan on loan.

Ripley, Harrop & Rafferty to follow hopefully.

Lee has gone to Charlton and Beckwith has gone out on loan too. So seems we are beginning to move out some of the fringe players now.

Hopefully making space for a progressive passing midfield player, in my view that’s looking like the gap we need to fill at the moment.

Few hints we are still in the market, after the game Jones seemed to be teasing a signing and in Gary Sweets programme notes he mentioned about there being scope in the budget for a “special signing”. Already people speculating he’s referring to KDH but that seems fanciful given he is now getting premier league minutes.

So let the pre deadline day wild speculation begin!

Onel Hernandez is the latest Norwich player to head back to the Championship on loan, joining up with Middlesbrough for the season.

He's struggled with injuries recently and has struggled to get consistent minutes because of it, but if Boro can keep him fit and get him a good spell of games he could still cause chaos at this level. Just don't let him shoot, as his end product is wildly inconsistent at best.

Going to be a lot of loans from premier league clubs in the next few days coming in I think. No ones got any money down here at the moment it feels like. Deadline day could have a big impact on the season as going to be a lot of quality loans coming in, against us Birmingham showed with Chong just what one really good player can give you at this level.

Supposedly got three striker targets, on loan, 2 Prem, 1 Champ, rumours one is from Utd.

Presuming one of these players is Anthony Elanga but it seems most of the division have enquired about him.

Not sure whether there are any Blackburn fans on here, but a £500k deal has been agreed for Tayo Edun.

Probably not quite as much as we'd like because he's only got a year left on his deal but still a decent return for us.

Can see us just ending up with Wickham, he's free so it doesn't need to be done today.

I find deadline day insufferable. Just for the record. And no I am not dressed in yellow.

First movement of the day for us as Kioso goes on loan to MK Dons.

Not too keen on that really, felt he could push Bree for the starting right back berth. Bree seems like the type who needs a firm foot up his backside to me and felt like he was providing good competition and options in that respect. He’s a better defender too, so in certain games where you want a defensive option he’d be the perfect replacement. If Bree goes down for any period of time we don’t really have cover there now

I agree with most of this - but I don’t agree that Kioso is a better defender. I don’t think right now either are really up to it defensively. They make up for it in their attacking play. He was providing good competition. Unless someone else is coming in, this move is baffling me somewhat.

I think the real reason is that he was pissed off by being subbed against Brum and not being offered a run in the team.

He was signed about 18 months ago for six figures and always loaned out and not really used. Jones likes to sign a big squad - pointless doing so if they don’t play any games.

Strange as I think he’s not that great in attack. Most I’ve seen from kioso has been hes exceptionally strong in the tackle and seems to pride himself on that far more than the attacking aspect, hence he’s been played at centre half a couple of times, something Bree I don’t think could ever do to any great effect. The data from his loans last season really shows him as being one of the pre-eminent you g full backs In that defensive aspect and Far better than Bree in that respect for my money who is often very half hearted in that area.

He clearly wants to play regular games so being a rotational back up option probably doesn’t suit him, but I really don’t like Bree now being de-facto starter as I think he can be lazy.

I would guess we are bringing in a midfield player which means Osho can be the right back cover maybe.

Agree with TFCH. Bree is dreadful on the back post from crosses down opposition right. I find this a bit of a howler, as agree Bree can be good but clearly needs motivation. What happen to two players per position? Im sure hes on a recall, but thats not the same pressure as seeing your competition deliver in training day in day out

I might be wrong but I think you can only recall during transfer windows. So you have the option in January basically and that’s it - which is what happened with him last season with Bolton

Makes it even worse. Real smh. I guess Jones doesnt think he will get a starting look in this season, so wants to get him experience.

But who is the back up and day to day player who pushes Bree in training. As last season, its a centre half who can cover there, rather than a real attacking rb. Its madness. He prob gonna slot CMG in there.

Morsy who we were linked with earlier has gone to Ipswich, so maybe one we’ve missed out on (although who knows if we were really interested or not)

Al very quiet on the rumour front from our perspective, we signed Adebayo late on the January window but that was rumoured a fair bit beforehand on the day of the window shutting. Still time but looking light in midfield for me.

Josh Murphy (loan from Cardiff) & Ali McCann permanent from St Johnstone rumoured.

Celtic were quoted £3m for McCann so i'm doubtful on that one.

Club have just tweeted that seem to indicate that we are done now. I assume we have lost out on a few targets and things haven’t gone that well as multiple things that have been implied would happen - Pereira going on loan which they explicitly said would happen, Hylton going etc havent happened and something we didn’t expect to happen - Kioso going on loan - has happened.

So 8 new faces for us in the window, started very strongly but mixture of covid issues and what seems to be us missing on a few targets means it’s been a bit of a frustrating end to the window. Really lacking a positive playing midfield player in my view

That Club statement on Kioso makes it sound like it was his call. wtf. Tell him no, buckle down, youre staying, in our plans but you need to fight for your starting place.
