All depends on replacement options but at 10m I’d take it, 31 isn’t exactly old for a keeper but that’s a decent amount for someone whose value is likely to only decline from here on out. A shame that this is happening so late, would have fancied investing that into Cooper from Plymouth who went to Sheffield United for a very reasonable fee given his ability and potential

Ogbene at 8m seems like it will happen, not included at all in tonight’s game. Again a decent fee for him imo

£18M for Kaminski and Ogbene - considering they cost about £2.5M 13 months ago... snap their hands off.

I wasn't wrong was I about this window really kicking off in August. I don't recall such a busy end of the window for quite a few years, especially at this level. Probably since Covid I don't think it's been as busy as this.

We really have got the short straw with Burnley... their team is going to be totally different since early August. NINE players have left them since we played them worth about £60-£70M, including 2 of the goalscorers.

Shea Charles looks like he could be a good signing

Full NI international, 33 games for Southampton last season after they paid Man City £15m

Ogbene gone to Ipswich for 8m fee. Must be up there with Justin as our biggest fee received probably?

I am sad to see him go, he was exciting to watch with his pace and he also seemed a genuinely lovely person from his interactions with fans but that’s an amazing fee to get for a player who was a bit in and out last season and often flattered to deceive in terms of actual output. Still hope we have something lined up to replace him in the squad

Teden Mengi reported to be close to joining Torino with the clubs negotiating a fee.

Big loss. But in line with every other club in this division with a Premier League standard player. It's pretty gutting.

From what I can tell, he's wanted out for a little while. His head didn't appear with it at Preston.

Hope he doesn’t fall off the radar as far as England is concerned…
Smalling has apparently improved his reputation in Italy but not thought good enough for the national team

Signed Mark OMahony on loan from Brighton. 19 striker. Scored for them v Crawley last night. Sounds similar to Evan Ferguson

Would have thought Man Utd will have a decent sell on fee. Makes it a bit odd that we pulled out of the deal with the Belgian player if this was in the works

Strong rumours that Taylor is finally going to go out on loan too, which makes sense as to why he didn’t get on last night.

Hope we’ve got something up our sleeve because it’s a big 2 days left now and some of the moves are understandable but others like Taylor not really. Get it wrong and I imagine there will be a huge amount of disgruntlement about, Edwards has said himself he wants us to challenge this season and Sweet has said judge the window when it’s closed - so let’s see. It we certainly haven’t gone about our business in the normal way, all feels a little panicked

Not sure where it's come from but twitter blown up with Jed Wallace coming back to Pompey... Sounds like we've played the long game with alot of our more recent signings.

Us and Millwall linked to Josh Coburn at Boro. From Peter O'Rourke so it's probably bollocks.

Luton have now joined the race for a potential £2.5M deal. That is expensive for a player now aged over 30.

Always been a fan of the guy, but clearly he's on the way down in his career. Three years too late.

If we are after wide forward I’d rather have Dembélé than Wallace! Younger and pacier, something we’ve lost now Ogbene is gone. Always liked Wallace but like Ken says, feels a couple years too late for that.

We have been linked with a midfield a player from Sweden called Lamine Fanne. He’s actually Spanish and only played 12 games in his career.

Mengi rumours seem to me to be a make believe, some Italian newspaper is reporting Torino want a loan with an option to buy at something like 5m which is a total nonsense and I don’t think we would even consider it.

Alan Nixon was on BBC Radio Lancashire last night and said we're signing Bowler on loan. Can't see him making such a matter-of-fact statement unless it was happening.

Very handy addition, and will allow Heckingbottom to be much more flexible in terms of shape, with Okkels down the left.

Not sure how much is in the Josh Coburn rumours, but i'd be very happy with him on a permanent. Great goals to minutes ratio for his age at both this level and L1.

Will Keane is in talks over a contract extension and looks to be staying put.

We've loaned out Noah Mawene to Newport, a few kids to non-league/ Northern Ireland, and there's talk that Layton Stewart is going on loan to Carlisle.

Surely that's bollocks
We paid £3M for him last summer and he’s coming back from injury. It would be surprising to say the least. As for terrible record, he hasn’t played enough - I don’t think any Luton fan would say that.

I meant terrible record with injuries not form or how he played...........A loan deal may suit all parties

Could see it especially if we are moving to a back 4 and Mengi stays probably someone has to go. Would prefer it be Holmes whose looked shaky

Bit if an indictment on recent recruitment though if it does happen imo. Another in the list of players who we’ve signed and then loaned out before they have actually done anything for us.

The thing is how does he get games for you??
You will not put him straight back in and maybe Edwards is thinking send him out let him get fit in our EFL games and bench then start a fresh with you next summer fit and ready to go.
Only a rumour on our forum.....not seen it anywhere else

We are desperate for (at least) three signings and Warne has said the team isn't 'Championship ready'... although there was some context to how that sentence was delivered, nevertheless still quite damaging when written in black and white.

I'm up to £300 on us to get relegated at this point and could see that increasing over the weekend.

Considering all of the rumours that have come out recently, our supposed recruitment strategy that has by and large been exceptional in the last 3-4 years has become a bit scattergun all of a sudden now they have cash on the hip.

This Dabo signing that they’re supposedly making today I’m struggling to understand and feels incredibly high risk. A 20yo who has played 12 times professionally in the Swedish PL signing for just under £4M, loaning him back for the rest of their season, rising to over £5M eventually.

We also seem to be messing players around… Taylor travelling all the way to Huddersfield on Wednesday only to turn around and be recalled. The McAtee situation another one. Look at Ngoy like last weekend… bringing him over for a medical and then going a “different direction”. I’ve worked a lot overseas - it’s not easy moving country, especially for a young adult.

Zambrano failed a test after taking allergy medication. The club believes he will get off, but the deal is structured so we can walk away at no loss if he's banned. It seems like we still have at least 4 to come in, main striker, RW and 2 CM. Possibly more if there are more going out. It's going to end up being an almost entirely new team from last season.
About to face a 2 year doping ban.
