You must be pretty excited? My mate moved away to New York so I have been following Wednesday to pass bits on to him and I am excited and looking forward to seeing how Wednesday start as a result of that. If I had to pick one non Wolves side to get up it would be Wednesday, this ruins all the shit I used to say to you about your ground but I considered getting a Wednesday season ticket this season when I was considering jacking in playing/managing football on a Saturday as felt that would be easier to do if I had something to do that was football related. Maybe in a few years I'll finally take the plunge as this is the 3rd time I've considered getting some kind of involvement with a Sheff team.

If ever you fancy a match at the NYS let me know, I have a spare adult season ticket which will be used infrequently this season as my daughter is pregnant. It would save you a fiver on match prices.
Might even be available for the Wolves match if you can sit on your hands.

If Bamford couldn't get a Prem club I know for a fact he would love to come back here. Whether Chelsea let us have him for 80p a week remains to be seen. Would be guaranteed football here as well, leading the line week in week out

No rumours about Bamford so far? I don't think he'll find a Premier League club, nor get a regular spot at Chelsea, so I think he'll end up back down here, but where remains to be seen.

Well we're after two more strikers yet, and looks like Ipswich might beat us to Donaldsson. Definitely wouldn't mind Bamford here, looks a little different to the other strikers we've been linked to.

Though it seems Clarke wants us to sign all of our permanent signings first before he even considers which loan players to bring in. So might lose out on any early loan transfers.

Bamford has not exactly been a good luck charm for Derby or Boro - both missing out in the play-offs after his loan spells there.

I remember two seasons ago and Derby were 2nd behind only Leicester BEFORE they brought Bamford and Thorne in on loan. Same last season, they were again in an automatic spot before bringing in Bent and Ince on loan.

Maybe just a coincidence, but I doubt it.:bl:

Ipswich are rumoured to be interesting in Ben Reeves of MK Dons. Central midfielder?

Could see something in the 1 mill to WBA rumour. Not sure on this one though.

Also can't find where it's come from.

A very good technical player. He was a victim of our quick rise, whilst also playing a formation that doesn't allow for 5" central midfielders. Some here were surprised that he was released, but not surprised to see he's beginning to make a name for himself.

You've also just made £8m off a player, who we released as a youngster too.

Ben Reeves is amazing his only problem is he seems to get injured a lot.

When he plays he runs our team and will always pop up with a brilliant goal every now and again, I've not seen someone score as many screamers as him. Always in the top corner.

He was to good for us when he joined, real class player who I hope we keep for years to come.

You're as bad/clueless as a Forest fan. 21 goals between the pair of them, but it all went wrong because we signed them two on loan. Of course it did!

Could only see Bamford moving to Boro or Reading if he was to drop down a division.

If, and it's a big if Bamford is back in this division, there is no way he's going to anyone other than Middlesbrough. Mourinho will be throwing Chelsea players at Karanka willy nilly again.

Is he a Reading fan? Otherwise why would he go there?

Steve Clarke's Chelsea/Mourinho connections.

Also very easy for us to persuade Chelsea players to come on loan as most live within an hour or so of Reading anyway.

Yeah, that's fair. We've done quite well out of Chelsea loanees over the years, so I wouldn't rule us out either, though I don't think we are in the market for that type of forward.

Wigan have met our asking price for Grigg, seems to be £1m plus a sell on fee.

Leaves us with only one striker, again, a problem that cost us a lot of points last season. Hopefully we have a couple of players lined up to take over. Can't believe the club would make the same error two years running.

For a player with only one year left on his contract, it's not a bad deal. Shame he didn't perform better for us.

We were 4/1 to get Klopp as manager at one point. Sky Bet have crazy odds sometimes

We were clear favourites to sign Ross McCormack last summer, and it keeps swaying between us and Boro for Jordan Rhodes this summer.

He won't end up at either.

When we were last in the Prem we were favourites to sign Sigurdsson, Kondogbia and Defoe.. Would have stayed up easily with them, but there were very little truth in them. Just 'interest'.

7/2 isn't exactly a confidence bet either, with things like this you'll be looking at atleast when it drops below 2/1, then someone must be ITK..

Wednesday are doing my fucking head in, we are clearly the same sort of massiveness, yet we never do anything to be remotely ambitious!!

Lots of Wednesday reckon Wickham is signing Monday.

If that's true then it's the reason they won't go for Bamford, Wickham's twice the player.

Also makes Derby's signings look average.

As much as I despise Rotherham Owls I wouldn't begrudge Wednesdsy fans their time in the limelight, certainly rather em do well over Derby.
