Well we clearly think we can.

Not that it will ever happen in a million years. If we offered him more, you would just sign him up on a new deal.
If you could you wouldn't chuck in a derogatory bid.... just about appeasing your fans.

Forestieri is worth more to us this season than any money you will stump up, after such a derisory first bid we should refuse to re enter negotiations.

We're supposedly coming back in for Chris Martin with 8m.

It's funny, years of Derby tapping up the league's best players, now it's being done to them. Would be funny if Sheff Wed made official bids for Hendrick and Ince.

Hope we put in a proper piss take offer, £5M for the pair.

Same reason he left Udinese for Watford?

Wednesday have players on £35k p/w, I'm sure they'll be happy to match whatever you'd be willing to pay him.

No chance of him taking a sideways move to Derby.

Listen to all you Billy big bollocks with your 10’s of millions fees and £35000 a week wages. :£

I hope they all go down with dysentery or some nasty sexually transmitted disease.

Meanwhile we sign another 21 year old hopeful, Dominic Ball from Tottenham.

This league really is becoming the second division of the Premier League, the money changing hands is nothing short of disgusting.

But It will make our few victories against these teams all the sweeter. :ds:

I can't see you causing many headaches for the big teams this year, relegation looms.

James Chester's signed for Villa, not sure where that leaves Baker, but he should definitely come home.

Which I trust will be rejected. I'd be less confident if it was a 10m bid though.

If we get £3mil for Garner I'd take it. I love him and still think he could be a big player for us this season but that's stupid money.

Any team with any sense starts off with a low bid. Not that 7m is low. Transfer fees in this division are farcical this summer.

3m for Garner is insanity

Was only a couple of years ago when we accepted an insulting bid of 1m for Leigh Griffiths, who was also considered a top end L1 striker.

Which is exactly what I've said. My belief is Derby have been told he's keen, but it's his agent playing games to get him a new contract at Wednesday.

He isn't keen though, far from it. The last sentence is true.

Which Preston fan was it I told that Garner would not do the biz in the Championship. Was it SF?

could have been me.

To be fair (and I realise this sounds like bullshit/excuses) he hasn't had chance. We played him up top on his own most of last season which is not his strength at all. He got 6 which sounds poor but he was still one of our best 5 players. I would be very interested to see how many he gets this season playing with Beckford, hopefully we get the chance.

He has never been prolific at this level, though, and Lord Knows he has had his chances. His movement has never been good enough at this level, though he is obvs a technically gifted player who will score the odd stunner. A Simon Cox-type, IMO.

Yeah probably me, I said i'd expect 10-12 from him, he got half that but had the chances to score a lot more. In terms of overall play, he has the ability to play at this level, no doubt and put in some quality performances but some of his misses last season were atrocious, possibly down to confidence, who knows.

We would be much weaker without him.

I can't see you causing many headaches for the big teams this year, relegation looms.

Wow, such vision, such insight, it's really scary.

What leads you to this stunning conclusion?

Is it our bottom 3 budget?
Our bottom 3 crowds?
Being the bookies favourites?
Or your own MASSIVENESS?

As it happens you might be right, this season it might happen, but everybody else thought that for the last two seasons so we will see
come next May.

Me?...... I have no idea but I just hope Stubbs builds a good, young footballing team, who are worth watching.

He is certainly assembling a group of young 20 year olds, only time will tell if they are good enough.
If we go down, we will cope with it.

Will you cope better with spending millions and not going up?

Sorry mate but really?
Fair enough it's an offer well below his valuation, we all know that, but let's not get silly.

I fail to see one player we've recently tapped up either...? Unless by tapping up you mean paying their clubs extortionate fee's which they're obviously happy with then yes, we've tapped up a few.

Touchy. You will struggle because you've appointed a manager who failed to get Hibernian out of a shocking league in Scotland, and your signings have been poor. Signing a load of young pampered Premier League reserve players isn't the best idea.

Most of them are actually from the Scottish Leagues or Championship squad players so not many pampered Premier players as such.
As for Stubbs, neither you nor I have any idea what he will be like...........remember what people were saying about your manager this time last year?
