Be about 7m.... feel free to take him the nesh twat
Why don't you like him?

I think he suits your style so much of dropping deep and dictating the play, I'd be over the moon if we signed Bannan for £7m though we need more of an Irvine type player than Bannan, Pack's quite similar just not as good.

Sure you'd rather get rid of him ahead of Abdi/McGugan?

Yeah I want Bannan to leave, if anyone of them was to go, he can't score or tackle and his passing is limited to the cross field raker to Wallace or Fletcher.

Linked with Trevor Clarke of Shamrock Rovers. Desperately need a winger and apparently he has a few clubs chasing him so would welcome that.

Always thought Bannan got much higher reviews than he deserved. Whenever I see him he struggles to actually pull apart a defence.

Don't get me wrong, good player, but I'd rather have half the Brentford midfield.

£7m seems pretty steep there Walkley!
Does it really? Apparently these are the "prices we should expect" nowadays

Ideally .... Morrison/Ayala
Hands off Morrison....Has there been any more news regarding your intrest up north? It's quietened down here since that reported £3 million offer came in.
Emyr Huws has signed for Ipswich, I'm sure they'll be pleased with it going off his loan stint there. Shame really but definite in need of a couple of midfielders now.
Aron Gunnarsson is also being linked to a couple of European teams but couldn't see them paying what we would want. Most of our fans don't rate him but he is such a vital player for us.

Abdi would piss on him ability wise if he got fit/fitted in.

Hutchinson is a far better passer of the football than folk give him credit for and having Bannan not being able to tackle or shoot means he'd miss out for me!

Bannan has no problems shooting as long as Richard "Crisp Packet Hands" O'Donnell is in net

Reckon?

Fair enough, Watford fans rate Abdi as better than Forestieri and he's been a revelation for you really so you probably have a point.

Yeah Hutchinson's passing is decent, remember the diagonal at Newcastle last season which sent someone through on goal?

Put Liam Palmer in that ball, seen Hutch do that with more regularity and success than Bannan.

I agree with Walkley to some extent with Bannan, on his day he's fantastic but far too few of those last season, and because he does a lot of running around Carlos loves to shoehorn him in which is detriment to the team at times. He has his positives as he can pass the ball, and can drive forward with the ball which we don't see enough, but he's lightweight, and I can't remember a Wednesday midfielder who's shooting is as bad. Out of all the midfielders we have excluding McGugan/Melo he'd be the one I'd be least upset about leaving. Was excellent in 15/16 but seemed to believe his own hype last season and spent a lot of games slagging his team mates off for not controlling his ridiculous Hollywood balls. £6M+ and I'd really consider it.

Blackburn meant to be in for Rickie Lambert. Please be true but fuck knows why! Would've bene an utter waste of time in them signing Whittingham if they get him.

We have signed Stephen warnock and jake Buxton on one year deals.
Must have a combined age of about 100.
Underwhelmed i would say. Don't rate either

Why? Bet he'd still be excellent in League One.

Signing two relegated defenders doesn't strike me as the best strategy.

Aberdeen have bid £300k for Stevie May and he supposedly wants to join them, we want £500k though to recover some of the £800k we paid for him.

Might be decent business considering how bad his injury was, hopefully Wigan can give us some dosh for Eoin Doyle too and we reinvest it in someone who can make an impact in the first eleven.

Can't say I saw much of either last year but we're both decent the year before. You know what Nige is like, he likes good strong characters around even if they're not going to play much, Shaun Barker-esque.
I think they're ok squad players for this level.

There were rumours we were back in for Bucko and as much as I love the bloke I was relieved when he signed for you lot. Hope he does well though.

Paul Gladon returned to Hercales, but only on a season long loan.

Up there with the worst players ever to grace the club. £1m (not including his wages) on a player who played 196 minutes for us. Nice one Zenga.

John Marquis to Ipswich seems to be gathering pace, he's stalled on signing a new contract with us.

If it goes ahead for somewhere in the middle, circa £400k, then I think it's a risk worth taking for Aberdeen. The injury makes it a gamble, but without it I don't think he'd be stepping back to Scottish football. If he shows anything like his St Johnstone form then at only 24 years old it's a great chance to rebuild his career, and if that happens £400k would be a bargain. One more injury probably finishes his career though, and that's a lot of money for Aberdeen, so it would still be a big risk.

Having seen him a handful of times for Millwall, does that not seem a jump a bit too far for him?

Agree with all that. And I'd like to think for you - that you have higher aspirations than Buxton. For us he may do ok, but for a side that will no doubt be looking at the play offs as a minimum, he is not that player.
