Agree to disagree, we were getting the results in our first fifteen games, but we also went through our horrendous run while LJ was trying to find a place for Tomlin. I felt we played our best actual football during the patch towards the end of the season when we changed to 442.

We don't need to 'replace' Tomlin so to say as we won't play a formation regularly that would require doing so, if we need a CAM we could go to Paterson or Reid if required to. I'd rather see the money re-invested in a keeper or a new LB.
Not saying Tomlin needs to be replaced directly, but we need someone of his quality out wide.

We're interested in Leeds' Eunan O'Kane, it seems. Not sure what he adds to what we have already in Edwards, Price, Evans. He's not fucking Portuguese either. So wtf?! O'Kaninho?

Fight relegation, stay up by the skin of our teeth and our squads weaker than in May. Plus the c*** still in charge. We've got relegation written all over us.

Britt Assombalonga to Boro for 14 million and 60k a week?

Bold move - not sure Forest fans will be happy selling him to a fellow Championship club though.
Signed another striker too, Martin Braithwaite. He can also play on the wing though.

I'm being cautiously optimistic about Tomlin signing. Would like to think if anyone can get his head sorted it'll be Warnock, but then it's just as likely that they'll end up battling each other to the death! £3 million is an awful lot for us lately as well.
We've turned down another bid for Sean Morrison as well, unsure what side it was but it was more than the £3 million that Wednesday offered. European side also had a £8 million bid rejected for Zohore.

Ah, so if a red card isn't rescinded, Citizen O'Kane will get us a judicial review? Cool. Still prefer someone a bit more foreign, bit more swarthy and with a background on loan with some second-rate Iberian clubs tbh.

A bit more foreign with loan experience in the second tier of Spain... sounds an awful lot like the great Tomasz Frankowski...

You sure you haven't just signed the left half of Jedward? Who else was after young Ezgjan then?

Where's Vaughan been for the past half decade. Seemed to drop off the map until his resurgence at Gigg Lane.

Was disruptive in our dressing room. Telling the younger players they can do better/get more money elsewhere and too demand more here. Amongst other things.

Whilst I wouldn't be shocked at that given his attitude at ours it does smack of a bit of sour grapes here.

It's not sour grapes. I would have had him back but wages were an issue which was known weeks ago, leading to us not going for him and having our transfer plans not include him/potentially include him. I was told this last week and a number of others have also been told this, a few different people have mentioned it on twitter. Meant to be a bit of a knob tbh

So what? Their agents would've only been telling them exactly the same anyway.

For someone that good to be at Preston North End there has to be some sort of catch somewhere.

Might not work but these days you spend a lot of money on average Championship players so I'm happy with our business so far. Obviously work to do at the back but lots of options in behind Wood this year. Has to stay fit though. Not convinced about our second choice strikers.

I know we're signing unproven foreigners but it feels different to when we were signing Serie B players no-one really wanted. Saiz was wanted by Eibar and Real Betis (at least) in La Liga and was reportedly best player in the Segunda last year. Alioski touted for Basel and linked with Leicester not long back, off the back of an excellent year in Switzerland.

Might not cut it but what would the £6m outlay they've cost get us domestically? I'm not sure.

Oh and Anita is a rock solid signing on a free. Biggest transfer will be the CB to partner Jansson, though. Got to get that right.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson going to Reading for an undisclosed fee. I'll miss the guy even though his goal scoring record was awful.

Been too long since we last had an Icelandic international, so nice to have one.

£750k is the highest fee i've seen reported. Can't really go too wrong with a striker at that amount these days. He'll be back-up to Kermorgant and our other striker signing. We just needed someone else in.

We want Jamie Murphy from Brighton. Will cost a fair bit I reckon, but they have March, Skalak and Lua-Lua that can play on that side so they need to get rid of one of them.

Pig c*** isn't he Walkley?

He is very much like Kevin Doyle, without the finishing. One thing you could never doubt him for us was his workrate, he would chase everything for 90 mins and feeding off scraps as a lone striker. Part of me thinks if he has good service he could be a good goalscorer at this level.

I'll miss the icelandic clap we adopted from him too.

We were apparently looking at him as a potential Mahrez replacement. Be interesting to see how he does. Hopefully we've not dismissed a gem.

Be odd if they did sell him as he was heavily involved in their promotion and I'd expect clubs better placed to want him if true.

Definitely a DRAWB too, pig c***.

At the fan's forum last night Stuart Webber and Daniel Farke said that a seventh signing was imminent. Our local press thinks it's Marcel Franke from Greuther Furth.

Totally agree with you RE foreign signings, we've used that market to good effect over the past couple of years. They do take a while to adapt though (or most do) so you do have to be patient with them. We've definitely had a greater number of flops among our foreign contingent than the home grown guys, but we've also had great success stories like Colin, Jota and Vibe
