Someone on otib has posted a video from youtube with clips of him from U23's games, his style of play looks like it would fit right in with us and I got a vibe of his style of play being a combination of Brownhill and Pack.
Looking at the main Everton forum, they aren't happy at all that he might be leaving which has to be a good sign. He was also in the U23 league team of the year. This might have some substance TBH.

Nixon's also saying we're going to go huge on a striker in January, ffs look what happened last time with that....

Wells or Gray on loan I would be more than happy with, neither are having much joy at their current clubs. Hugill I'd be happy for us to spend a fair whack on as well.

I wouldn't want Hugill, if he performed as he did against us week in week out it would wreck how we try and play. Point of discussion on otib, can a play be registered to a third club in a season if the third is a loan, so for Wells for example.

Complete myth that you can't play football with Hugill in the side, he occupies two defenders pretty much all game.

Obviously provides a good long/ ugly option but the space he creates for others is worth his weight in gold, can tell he learned a lot from Kevin Davies.

He'd be costing £8/£9m though... he's done nothing to let his value drop this season.

Yeah I quite like him, he's a proper handful. £8/9m is steep but that's the going rate and you're within your rights to ask for that. He may have better suitors than us anyway, probably aren't even interested just putting 2 and 2 together given Nixon's northern links.

Reading seemed most keen in the summer but don't know if their situation has changed, bid £8m that we amazingly turned down.

Sunderland don't have a pot to piss in it seems, Birmingham were interested when Redknapp was there and Wolves were linked a lot, think Leeds were rumoured to be interested as well. Ipswich have been priced out, their £2.5m offer looks pitiful now.

I'm expecting at least one serious bid, can't see us turning down anything above £8m.

Not saying I don't think hugill is a good player, but I don't think he's the type of striker we need. We already have djuric who bullies defenders.

Think we've been missing diedhious link up play and he was starting to play well with Reid.

I personally couldn't see your lot being in for Hugill with Diedhiou on his way back as it would be a big outlay for someone who wouldn't be a guaranteed starter.

Who knows though, you might spend a shitload and go for it this window, might be a long time before you get another shot at automatics like this.

Preston North End have won the race to land prolific Motherwell striker Louis Moult.

The Fir Park side will rake in £450,000 for the Englishman who is poised to join the Championship club in January on a three-and-a-half year deal.

Not sure I believe the bit about us paying him £10k a week though.

Quite happy with this one.
Aye, seems we've captured Walsh for £1m as well. Two interesting signings, Everton fans aren't very happy. Hopefully he's the next Ben Pearson.

Absolute bargain.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him ending up in the EPLs he's a natural goalscorer. Will be interesting to see how he handles the transition from the SPL to, quite frankly, a better league. He's come on leaps and bounds from when he was with us in the conference (when he was excellent)

Signed a Japanese chap called Iduguchi but will be going out on loan for quite a spell before he qualifies for a work permit. One for quite a lot further down the line but at least we're preparing for the future.

Good to hear, he comes across very well.

Admits that he wasn't cut out for the physical side of English football when he was younger and now he puts in an extra hour in the gym after training every day.

Hoping he has a similar impact as Tom Barkhuizen last year.

It showed when he was briefly with us, although only around 18 at the time. Hope it works out for him, massive step up though imo. The SPL is dreadful barring Celtic, I think the Wrexham fan might be getting carried away saying he could make it in the Prem it's an huge gap.

Its hard to gauge really, will just come down to the individual.

Barrie McKay has come down and done very well and Garner/ Waghorn have had a good impact at Ipswich, none of them particularly impressed up there. There are some good players up there but they're mixed in amongst some shite ones.

Moult is coming down with a better scoring record than the likes of; Steven Fletcher, Ross McCormack & Robert Snodgrass for example... but that's no guarantee he can replicate it. Looks to have much more about him than Stevie May, or at least I hope he does.

I trust our recruitment at the moment but there will always be duds amongst the gems.

Just watched Moult's interview on Motherwell's twitter. Seems like a top bloke. I've never seen a player leave a club before and not get one single tweet giving him abuse. Even fans of other clubs are wishing him well. Really hope he's class now.

Andre?

I doubt he will be going anywhere as we only have 2 strikers!

Unless we buy one or two in January.
Yeah, didn't realise that but he's been shite for you hasn't he? Ricarlison would be able to play up front if he had an ounce of composure.

That is true - Gray cannot control a ball at all!

Will get 3 games now though with Deeney sent off.

Right about Richarlison - very talented and scored 5 goals but should have about 15!

Do you think don't get the ball in behind the defence quick enough which I think would suit Gray as he has pace?

Maybe true to a point but certainly try to be more attacking than last season.

It just not very nice to watch, it basically Pulis tactics with a fast forward who is quality but nulled by the negative players in the team.

That sounds more like last season when we mainly played with Deeney up front in a defensive formation.

Now we are quite attacking (maybe too much) with wide players and attacking full backs.

Gray certainly hasn't been quality for us but maybe the Championship is more his standard.

We certainly don't defend like a Pulis team - as our goals against record shows.
