I do love foreign keepers coming in to the EFL, they don't have a clue to what they are coming into and how little protection they will have compared to where they have come from.
I'm sure the 'more direct' sides in this division will be targeting him.
When we signed Maenpaa I was concerned but he was at Brighton previously so knew what was coming whereas the Kiwi bloke we signed was like a rabbit in the headlights, absolutely woeful.
We've had a few foreign keepers over the years but only Adriano Basso and, going way back, Jan Moller could handle British football.

Look at Casillas at Leeds, urgh.

We had Ola Tidman who had been at Stockport but he was chuffing awful at it.

The two young uns we have aren't confident enough or experienced to be classed as good at handling the situations but both are excellent keepers.

We have Westwood though so I don't care.

Fine keeper is Westwood. Expensive though I would imagine Southey?

Define expensive

He was a free transfer in 2014, be on decent wages but worth 10-15 points a season, tied down for two more years too.

Not an accusation Southey, more a question. Keepers of Westwood's standard are generally expensive signings / wages wise. As you got him on a free and pay him a bit more then happy days for you and for him TBH.
I wasn't aware there was no fee so he was a hell of a signing on a free.

I know it wasn't an accusation fella.

If he costs 30k a week but no fee you're still winning aren't you.

Yeah he was released by Sunderland, so 5 years service less the Luhukay debacle, he's happy here and still superb.

Villa had someone absolute terrible last year under Bruce as well. Foreign keepers especially those who don’t speak English have very little chance in this league. He’s no Buffon but I think Leeds could have got over the line with BPF.

Marcus Edwards now training with our first team squad - not sure if we're just looking at him in case we have to sell someone, but either way would be happy with signing him.

Mbuemo has agreed personal terms with us, but is holding off signing to see if interest from Marseille / the Bundelsiga results in a bid.

We've still got Josh McEachran training with us, played 45 minutes at Northampton the other night too. I'm wondering if he's actually signed a contract but the club is not announcing it yet because of the soft embargo, we knew we'd signed Borner, Odubajo and Harris weeks before the club announced it, I'd definitely take him for added depth and quality in a pretty weak position for us.

Their best ex-Bristol city player isn't even on that pic and Fat Boy Tomlin will be in the canteen or having a fight.

3 separate people on OTIB have heard tonight Webster’s gone for £15.5m....

I’m calling bollocks, probably because I want it to be, but that price would be fucking bullshit.

It feels crazy, talking about OVER 15 MILLION being too cheap, but yeah, it really would

That had better be bollocks after turning down (supposedly) £22M.
Player plus cash maybe?
I just hope it's bollocks TBH as Webby is a hell of a player.

EDIT: KITR thinks it's bollocks, that'll do me.
